    Analysis: Lewis vs. Klitschko

After the reading several posts about the Klitschko brothers versus Lewis, I decided to carefully watch the fight again. I watched rounds 4-6 twice. I have to say first off that I wasn't a Lewis fan until after his retirement and watching his fights over and over.

If you pay attention to Lewis's behavior and ring generalship in all of his fights win, lose, or draw, you'll see that Lewis even when tired likes to play psyche games with his opponent. You see this with Holyfield, Tyson, Rahman, and Briggs specifically. You can see where he over exaggerates his fatigue in order to lure his opponent into a sharp punch. In the Klitschko fight you can see him doing this over and over.

Pay attention to his jab in rounds 4-6...extremely stiff jabs that stop Vitali in his tracks. Look at the momentum. Who has momentum in the fight in those rounds? Who's demeanor is changing? Who starts to hold more and more? This holding is not of strategic manner rather it is because he (Vitali) is taking too much punishment.

I say Lennox easily wins that fight had it continued in the next round or two by KO.

Lastly, Wlad vs. Lewis, it unfair to compare Wlad of today and Lewis of yesterday. So lets say they fought after this fight. Wlad can't take punishment like his brother can, he's faster and also less powerful. Wlad could win by decision fighting a perfect fight, but Lennox destroys him within 5 rounds easy.

      yeah yeah yeah.

Keep ****ing dreaming about your boy Lennox beating up the K-Bros since Haye failed so miserably.

The fact remains Lennox was too chicken**** to rematch Vitali and retired because of it.

And the only reason he doesn't come back now, which he badly wants to do, is because of the K-Bros.

He goes to sleep every night with the BOOS directed at him from his last ever fight ringing in his ears.

What a way to go out!

"David Haye is the greatest, he's gonna kill Wlad, he's gonna knock that lousy robot bum cold, he's gonna, he's gonna....errrrrrr......ahhhhh.....oooops."

        BECOMES....

"Lennox Lewis is the greatest, he would have beat up the K-Bros (well, Vitali kicked his ass, but never mind that), he would have rematched Vitali but he was so old, you see, he needed a walker to get to the ring, yeah, that's the ticket!"

                  Great post thread starter.

Vitali should appreciate the fight was stopped when it was. Otherwise, he may never have boxed again.

Great TKO win from Lewis considering he wasn't in his prime.

I understand how it is for Haye fans (I should say EX fans, as he seems to have none left), and other K-Bros haters. Really I do. When reality is so troubling, people often turn to fantasy.

This accounts for the sudden plethora of fantasy Lewis vs Klitschko threads only a week and a half after the haters' dreams came crashing down in Hamburg.

After all, this forum was FILLED with posts predicting the demise of Wladimir. People were CONVINCED Haye would deliver them from their plight.

Now, all they have is the fantasy of their newfound superhero (who was knocked cold by two journeymen and had his butt kicked into retirement by Vitali) Lennox Lewis, who can't let them down as he is too afraid to come back and fight a Klitschko.

Lewis said on the Sky Sports broadcast of Haye-Wlad that he had recently been training for a comeback, and he looked very fit indeed, but had again decided against it.

Does anyone think he'd be hesitating like that if Wlad and Vitali suddenly retired? He'd be back in a flash. The poor man is TORMENTED, he's still going back and forth on this issue.

                    Very understandable. And very sad.
