lara is a good puncher but not an overly powerful one. i'd call him middle of the road for a world class boxer
he's got very good timing, which is more important than strength

those were effective punches. they should have won him the fight.

williams took them, they also stopped him dead in his tracks for the most part, whereas in his prime he was able to just walk right through them

he waited too much for me to say he's not depleted

am i understanding you right when you say that a slow and comeforward fighter is OK for williams to fight but a fleet one is not?
i'd say those are characterisitics of a fighter who is badly faded.

i'm re-looking through the fight a bit now at work and i'm seeing plenty of instances (just inthe firs three rounds,) that williams is hurt or stunned. in his prime he was rarely hurt or stunned, and he did go against bigger punchers.

Not necessarily only a slow come forward fighter would be a good opponent. I just think southpaws who can box should be avoided. U may be right on how much Williams has faded but from what I have seen he is almost the same fighter who was beaten by Quintana in 08.
