Nope, not shot. People have figured out how to fight him though. That's mainly because he doesn't use his height.
Paul Williams is not shot!!!!

He lost because he has no gameplan for a southpaw left hand. He's useless against it. He keeps his hands too low and his technique is bad. He's always been a flawed fighter, but the reason he's my favorite fighter is despite all his flaws he always comes to fight and never gives in or backs up.Comment

I agree Paul is not shot, but he is in danger..The word is out on Paul even with Orthodox fighters..Williams is slightly past his best but he isnt shot! This is pretty much the same fighter who fought Quintana 3 years ago. I have been watching this guy since the Matthyse fight and in every fight i have seen since then his defense has been horrible but his workrate and chin made up for it. Keep him away from slick southpaws and he will look like he did in the past.Comment

Bold: That right there is the true root of all of Paul's current problems. He has not improved as a fighter.Comment

What you say is true but there's more to the story. Paul's showing his wear and tear and there are plenty of reason's why:
Accumulation of punishment and lots of it, size of his opponents who can take it and dish it out a lot better, moving up and down in weight, age and the fact that he and his trainer have a bit of a bad attitude in regards to correcting his flaws and making him a better fighter. Is he shot? I dont think he was at the beginning of that Lara fight but I do think he has noticeably slowed and that was a tremendous beating he took. I think the question is whats left?Comment
