Definetly one of the best. He was in with a "weak" division you can say but the fact that he has erased all of his losses with KO's speaks volumes. The guy has beat every single fighter he has faced and you can't take that away from him.

If Lennox Lewis was American he would of been one of the best ever according to media and such. He got a lot of unfair criticism just because he was British.

yes, lewis is one of the BEST HWs of all time.
no, hes not one of the GREATEST HWs of all time.
being the best means you can beat anybody.
being the greatest means your a respectable champion who always gives his best and has rightfully earned the respect of all.
lewis beat some of the best of his era.
lewis did not always do his best, has not rightfully earned the respect of all, and wasnt the most respectable champion.

evander was past his prime when he fought lewis.
he barely squeaked by klitschko and refused to give vitali a rematch.
tua was out of shape in his fight with lewis and almost KOd lewis a few times.
he KOd golota in the 1st round, so what? so did brewster. the fact that golota was favored in the fight doesnt mean anything.
he KOd rahman in the rematch, so what? rahman sux and vitali will prove that in november.
razor ruddock was FAR past his prime when he fought lewis and he never was really as dangerous as you say he was.
yes, he beat the men who beat him but his TKO over mccall was anything but stunning.
i personally think yes and no.
yes, he was the best of his era. no, this era is one of the worst for the HW division.
is he overrated? yes, i think so, to a certain degree.
is he the greatest HW? HELL NO.
is he the best HW? HELL NO.
is he one of the best HWs? yes.
is he one of the greatest HWs? sort of. he was good. he was great in the ring, but his fight dodging and money grubbing and his inactivity says he wasnt really great.
in conclusion: lewis is one of the best HWs, but he shouldnt be put in the Top 10 HWs of all time. he was the best in his day and being the best in ur era is noteworthy enough, even if ur era isnt noteworthy itself.

Originally posted by Bozo_no_noYour opinion here is as biased as Mother Klitschko.
Wlad is breakable, and Lewis would break him.
NO WAY does Wlad's chin hold up in that fight.
Vitali would always be a tougher fight for Lewis.
Wlad is better suited to fight guys like Byrd.I'm sorry but with the same success i can clame that Tyson didn't have a chin because he went down so much at the end or Lewis didn't have a chin since he went down from Rahman.
Originally posted by The_GreatestIn the Klitschko fight - Klitschko was favoured too but lewis also proved that in the ring
Lennox Lewis vs Wladimir Klitschko
(Klichko by KO 7... Wlad chin is up to par, he proved it in Peter fight)
Lennox Lewis vs Roy Jones Jr
(Lewis by KO 3...no brainer)
Lennox Lewis vs James Toney
(Toney by SD... but barely)
Lennox Lewis vs John Ruiz
(Lewis by early KO 5... Ruiz is a joke)
Lennox Lewis vs Larry Holmes
(Holmes UD... Larry would definitely outbox Lewis, they are not in the same league)
The interesting one would be this one:
Lennox Lewis vs Ike Ikebuchi
(Ike by TKO)
Ike would rock his world
P.S. Personally i think the best Boxing personality is Max Schmeling followed by Ali, Rocky and Suga'.Last edited by chukcha; 11-09-2005, 01:23 PM.
