Man Cotto has been a tough warrior but the fact remains is that his only world title fight win vs a champion with a belt is Yuri Foreman after 36 fights and 3 weight classes. If Cotto was sooooo great why didnt he beat any champions at 140 or @147? Foreman was the weakest champ at 154 and he won the title at 154 @...i mean the guy has 8ko's and fought on one leg.....this is Cottos only WIN vs a champion with a belt at the time?

Mayweather hasn't fought someone skilled and close to their prime/weightclass as Cotto since...hmm...Castillo? You say that about Cotto, but the reverse is even more true. Cotto has had plenty of challenges, can you say the same about Mayweather?

Cotto was a very exciting fighter especially at 140lbs. We live in a culture of celebrity and a lot of people get caught up in the Money Mayweather BS. Cotto is too adult for this generation. They know nothing but pop culture BS ala Paris Hilton and Mayweather with his attention needing theatrics. Cotto is a throwback less talk more action.

so how many of those guys besides Yuri Foreman were champs at the time they beat them? ....

he had a disputed win vs Mosley....fought Judah after Mayweather.....and got beat down from Margarito, Clottey & Mayweather....none of those guys have the skill of Mayweather....just stop man....Cotto is a tough fighter but history speaks for itself.

I don't think even a prime Cotto would beat Mayweather Jr. Floyd pretty much avoided fighting him though when it could've happened years ago. No reason to see it anymore, unless Cotto somehow rejuvenates his career, which I doubt will happen.
