I agree with your thoughts re. the two fighters, BTW. I'm just finding this whole furore hilarious since last night.
Williams fan or not...If he truly saw it that way...He just a terrible at scoring fights. Take it that's why you laughed after asking that

^There you go, straight from Burner, the biggest fan's mouth.

Now everyone, please stop replying to this joke ass thread. It has no value at this point. He's obvious somehow serious about that disgraceful score card which is sickening, but nobody's going to change his mind.

        7-5 for Lara.

        115-113.

I'll say this. I dont think Paul is done as a fighter. However his trainer should be fired. Yesterday. He has the arrogance of Freddie Roach yet his only fighter is Paul. He hasnt taught him anything it seems. Paul is the same guy from the Terry Cauthen fight when I saw him 6 years ago.

If Lara wasnt landing that left hand Lara wouldve lost every round. Its that simple and yet Peterson wouldnt make the adjustments. That was sad to watch at times.

And slow down with the Lara hype. He didnt look that good to me but he did enough to win imo. However we know some judges favor activity and facts are this Williams landed A LOT. Pitty punches....still count.

So again I had it 7-5 Lara and I only want Paul to cme back if he doesnt have that **** head Peterson in his corner.

lol, funny how we have the same point values but different fighters winning.

I had Lara winning the first 3 easily though.

The 11th round really got me. I was leaning towards Lara but the impression of the round and most rounds for that left me wondering why Lara wasn't doing anything most of the round.

I almost had it a 6-6 draw. The 11th round obvious but Lara just left me with that impression and I gave Williams the round.

Apparently, you're in the habit of scoring fights based on punches thrown, not punches landed.

And, for the record compubox stat...Is not an accurate way on determining who won or lost a fight.

But, I guess the point is that it kinds shows how wrong Flicker was by saying that Lara became inactive in there.

And, again defense should be a scoring criteria.

If fighter A is throwing over a 100 punches. But, fighter B is making him miss 80% of those punches. While landing the same amount if not more so.

            Than you should score defense>activity.

It's called a discussion. Not trying to change people's mind. You can't change the result of a fight, so how can a person's mind be changed about a fight?

I guess Leonard beating Hagler is a disgrace too then right?

Seeing how Leonard himself didn't do shyt in the rounds until the last moments, to leave the impression that he won that round in the judges mind.

He himself said this and that was his gameplan. Soooo, not wrong.

Yeah, FWIW, I didn't read any agenda into your breakdown. Just looked like an articulate alternate interpretation of the action - it didn't mirror my own take on the fight, but your view isn't about to change the vast majority of fan and pundit opinion that Lara won, so there should be no issue with letting a different perspective live.

hmmmm, not normally but now that i think about it. That may be the reason in this fight.

Interesting catch there John. Didn't think about that.

I think the 11th round Lara really didnt do anything but land like 2 left hands but I fI remember correctly Paul was kind of taking the roud off it seemed. It as a close round I do remember that much.

I dont know Flick this wasnt like the first Martinez fight where it was clear that both fighters went to hell and back (despite what NSB **** heads say) they went to war in Martinez-Williams one. That was a war that I feel Paul won. He outworked Sergio and brought the fight to his door step.

In this fight it was the same Paul but he just wasnt getting those left hands off like he did against Martinez in the first fight.
