I like Donaire though...he is a great american fighter. He doesn't give a **** ass about Philippines. He lives the american lifestyle and has lived here since he was a small child.

If he has 5 more fights he shouldn't be having Mike Jones or Kermit Cintron as opponents. Those are two horrendous selections and Arum is an idiot for saying that. I wonder what happened to Bob as he seems shot to **** as a promoter as of late. I can understand the hate he gets and it's well deserved because he is definitely on one with some of his recent statements.

I can understand the Marquez fight, because for years we have known that the trilogy fight would happen, due to how close the first two fights were.

However, Manny is past that stage of his career where he is fighting prospects and guys like Cintron and Cotto rematch. He should be fighting fights that would enhance his legacy and none of those bouts do that.


If it were me his final fights would be

1. Floyd Mayweather
2. Sergio Martinez
3. Canelo Alvarez
4. (who ever is the hottest name in two years)
5. (who ever is the hottest name in two years)


I really don't like the Bradley fight as he will get demolished by Manny and the reason I feel he should fight Alvarez is because I feel Canelo will be an HOF/one of the greatest Mexican fighters of all time, so a fight with Manny should happen sometime later on down the road.

I couldn't agree more... I think Pac hasn't done anything to enhance his legacy since the Cotto fight and I'm really hard pressed to give him ATG type of credit for that fight because Cotto hasn't looked like the world class caliber type fighter since before PAC fought him... Bradley is an interesting fight, but I think he has to do something like Ortiz did and be a legitimate - 147lb fighter and not only win but look damn good in doing so. I was really impressed with Ortiz and his showing against Berto. Cintron hasn't looked good in YEEEAARS... and I remember people clowning PBF for entertaining the idea of fighting Cintron but now he's viable choice for PAC... The writing is on the wall many people already know the boxers whom Arum is considering to pac in the ring with and none of them are legacy enhancing fights...

Here's the big difference... Pac vs PBF, Serg or Canelo (in a year and a half) would be toss up fights in many peoples eyes... in other words, people, for the most part wouldn't already assume PAC would win...

Now Pac against Marquez, Mike Jones, Bradley or Cintron - Pac would be the heavy favorite in each of those fights with the other fighter having a punchers chance, but not really.

With that being said... PBF needs to fight those same fighters... but I think after he fights Ortiz - He fights Khan (in UK) in May of 2012 if Pac doesn;t agree to testing all the way up to the fight. Then I think he takes a year off again - because he will only fight once per year. Then maybe PAC again, if not Canelo or Martinez in 2013 - then retire.

really?? you cant put ANY blame on floyd???? for a guy that supposedly wanted to fight manny so bad, he was compelled to immediately retire after mosley & not have his mind on boxing. and COMPLETELY act like sergio didnt exist... floyd didnt even want to whisper sergios name. if pac was the problem, floyd couldve EASILY fought someone else. PERIOD. he couldve had fights on competing dates to PROVE he pulls more numbers...

any rational BOXING fan sees it goes both ways... kudos to floyd for ortiz, but it doesnt erase the idiotic things he's done thus far... for a man that supposedly pushed to fight pac, he was nowhere to be found & denied all negotiations ever happened... ****, he didnt even TRY to make it happen.

with the way things are going, with floyd CLAIMING to fight twice a year against top opposition... & pac continuing his TR bum fights... im sure it gives you floyd fanboys something to brag about. or at least something to look forward to.

i dont want to sound jaded, but i think we are all being jerked around... GBP & TR are both in on it... they know that the floyd/pac fight will be the end of an era (a definitive answer).... so both companies are cashing each marquee fighter with in-house money fights. they can easily coordinate and choreograph a floyd/pac trilogy and REALLY **** us for our money. LOL

BOTH companies seem to be lining up their "next big star"...

Dude, you have a legitmate list of fighters for your all-time-greats... but you're missing a few... how about Hearns, Duran, Azumah Nelson and Chavez SR... Definitely not hating, just my opinion as I've watched all of them fight... as well as the early 70's Ali fights. Damn, boxing was the **** in the 70's and 80's
