I would have liked to see Floyd take on Tszyu when he passed through 140. I think that would have been an excellent matchup. Tszyu was at his best against slick boxers, his timing, accuracy and intelligence made him very dangerous in those kinds of fights.

All time, I like your picks. As pointed out, some were naturally a lot larger though

Now at 135 I'd pick Duran over Floyd, possibly even Whitaker (That's 50-50 IMO).
I actually think Floyd would have a better chance to beat Pernell than Duran. Pernell was not always as active as he should have been an it cost him rounds.

I liked Tsyzu but I think Floyd would've handled him like 9 rounds to 3.

I could see that. Tszyu isn't my number once choice to beat Floyd, but I think he had a good style for it(and he was in fine form when Floyd was at 140). Just one of those fights I wish happened.

SRR is the best of all time but he fought so long ago and I haven't seen enough footage of his fights. He could definitely go on the list though.

Again, I always tell people that if you want to be fair to Floyd then stop comparing him to guys like SRL & Hearns head up in a WW fight.

If you want to be fair then do it in a P4P sense and compare them at WW to Floyd at SFW. If you do that then he easily stacks up with them. He also looked better at higher weights then they did. Just for you to ask if he could beat them when he's in his 4th weight class and they are in there 1st shows how great he truly is.

With that being said, he beats VF pretty easily to me and beats Duran too. SRL & Hearns could give him hell because of the size so I wouldnt be shocked at any outcome in those fights. VF may have given the pre JMM version of Floyd problems because Floyd was not a true WW.

He would only come into the ring at 146 pounds and looked weaker then most of the WW's but since his comeback he's looked bigger and I think he can now handle guys like VF, Margarito, & Cotto much easier then before just because they wont be able to bully him around like they may have been able to 1st.

See Mosley as a prime example. Before JMM that fight may have went differently but now that Floyd is solidly built at the weight, he couldnt outmuscle him like he thought. I had to edit because I didnt see Sergio's name until just now but again I think there is no way Sergio can beat him with the way he keeps his hands down all fight, but again a naturally 4 or 5 weight classes bigger guy
I agree with this whole post word for word.

The only weight class where I would favour Mayweather over most is 130.
When I asked my father, who he thinks is the greatest Super Featherweight of all time, he said Alexis Arguello, and he would put Floyd Mayweather Jr as the second greatest SFW of all time. So based on what my father told me, I would say Floyd beats every one at 130, not most, with Mayweather vs Arguello being up for debate for all of you history buffs, which that is not my strong point in boxing lol.

I feel for Arguello. ESPN Classic always shows Pryor beating his ass but he was a very good fighter so I think he gets diminished by what they don't show.

                    Arguello was awfully good BITD.

I still think Floyd handles him though.
