That's pretty much how he operated in his time at 140-147. Sad, but true. Just look at the list of fighters he fought, and list of fighters he could've fought at those weights.
here comes the idiot to mess up the thread.

Being that Floyd is at welterweight & most of his fans consider him an atg,it is absolutely fair to bring up any other atg to compare or fantasy match. At welterweight SRL,Hearns,Oscar,Tito, the Punisher all can beat him.Duran as well at 147 & below.Cintron might right now, gotta fly,but I'll be back!!

@ a guy that has Calzaghe in his avatar making a statement like this.

140-147, who was it that he didn't fight, that he was supposed to fight?

Mayweather vs Pryor would have been an amazing match up as well

Why bother to list Leonard and Hearns but ignore Robinson? Robinson started his career at a weight much closer to Floyd's start off weight.

              Robinson

              Duran

147 is not floyds prime weight. at 147 a lot of guys would have a great chance to beat him. all the hall of famers mentioned of course could beat him. vernon was a good choice. ike quartey would also give him all he could handle. at 135 and 130 the list dwindles. duran of course. but i don't think whitaker could beat floyd.

theres probably 5 or 6 fighters that could match or beat Floyd

                      1. Tommy Hearns (reach, debilitating power, great all round skills)
                      2. Ray Leonard (unbelievable speed, ability, footwork, combination punching)
                      3. Ray Robinson (what didnt SRR have?)
                      4. Roberto Duran (relentlessness, power, body work, tenacity)
                      5. Oscar De La Hoya (in his prime, awesome jab, great all round skills, great chin)
