This is baffling me. Haye beat 4 other heavyweight fighters, including Nikolai Valuev who Holyfield, even though quite over the hill, couldn't even stun or hurt. Haye is the only fighter we've seen hurt Valuev, the 2nd ever to stop John Ruiz, and in the last 5 years is the only fighter to make Wladimir's face actually sustain damage. The fight wasn't as lopsided as those judges made it out to be. Haye could have won if he fought inside more, threw some straight rights, and utilized his jab more as well. He absolutely belongs at heavyweight!

As Bad as Haye did against Wlad, I don't want him to retire without facing Vitali. Beat Vitali and he can get a rematch vs Wlad. Be a man Haye and go for it.

I'd like him to drop back down to cruiserweight but thats not going to happen dropping one and a half stone would be hard even though there is some interesting fights doubt that this will happen i expect a fight with vitali to come through as he really hates haye and wants to knock him out that would be a better fight for haye then a wladimir rematch

Adamek was an unbeaten lt.heavyweight champion, and Cruiserweight Champion for several years, of much ecperience. Haye only for a single defence. If Haye had stayed at Cruiser the chance is strong that he would now be a beaten ex cruiser champ.

I've had to write this several times in the past week, so i suppose once more won't hurt.

Up until the Klitschko "fight', Haye had had 26 fights. Just under half of them (12) were novice fights, of 4 and 6 rounds. He also had a few 8 rd fights. SOOoooo...... his actual 10-12 rd fights can be counted on less than the fingers of BOTH hands.

He's an inexperienced BEGINNER. Adamek is an experienced solid, long time Champion.

This is CHALK and CHEESE...only the colour is similiar, the content is completely different.

As his "exhibition" on the weekend showed he was pretty nimble even with a probably faked toe injury. {3 weeks is long enough to mend a possible little (tiny bone) toe fracture. And with a couple of anti-pain injections could not have bothered him at all. His VERY fleet feet, especially in retreat showed this ABUNDANTLY. I don't know why no one is questioning this onbvious GIVEAWAY.

Anyway, I'd bet that any of Klitschko's sparring partners could have been far better. And in THAT connection, Manny Steward said in an interview last month, that Haye is making such a huge fuss about his "heavyweight" wins. One of them, he said, was Monte Barrett. Wladimir KO'd him about 10 years ago, when Barrett was in his prime, and just recently one of Klitschko's sparring partners, Ofalabi, easily KO'd him in a fight. ALSO, they had Barrett to their recent camp as a sparring partner but had to send him home after a couple of days as he wasn't able to stand up to the sparring.

THIS, to me, and many others would indicate that Adamek is a far better fighter than Haye, and if they ever fought I'd back Adamek heavily.

Its called hype and promotion you dummy, its how interest is built in the fight. Yeah you'd love to see his **** wouldn't you, dam fag ........ I don't think Haye should retire.... i think he should hang around, he could get a chance if adamek somehow beats vitali. Plus it wouldn't be wise to leave in his current state, people have forgotten that he has done quite abit in his career.

David Haye was a big fish in a very small pond at cruiser, but he was absolutely killing himself to make weight. He cant go back down even if he wanted to. He is a heavyweight, a small one, but a HW all the same. The guy should stop all this retirement nonsense, and work his way back to a title shot by beating a few other good contenders.

If he does that he will gain back his respect, if he doesnt, then he can go *** himself.

Haye had an off nite sometimes it happens I mean klitschko didn't look good either. I think Haye should stay where he is at and fight the best guys out there there is nobody that exciting at cruiserweight than their is at heavyweight.

Was Haye really killing himself to make weight at cruiser ?

Serious question, I have no idea. And the answer to that question will pretty much sum up this thread.

                      Anyone know for sure ?

Any UK fans got the good oil on that one ?

Haye performed better than most of Wlads opponents during the last 4-5 years, he wobbled golem, and he beat a contender and a gatekeeper in Barrett and Ruiz.

He has beaten two former heavyweight champions, so there really isnt too much to argue about on that front. Hoylfield was just a blown-up cruiser when he went up and beat Dokes, I think that was his first fight at heavy? Maybe he fought at hw before Dokes, I cant remember, but nobody thinks of Holyfield as a blown-up cruiser anymore. In saying that, Haye is no Holyfield.

Personally, I think fight Adamek, or drop down and try to unify at CW, but I dont really care either way. I still think this article and resulting thread makes a joke of Haye's self-imposed retirement deadline though. How come that aint important anymore?
