Being champion doesn't mean squat these days when there are 8 belts in each division and the organizations giving them away for $$$. Boxers hold them in high regard and I can understand that but me as a fan looking in. No I don't, too much politics. People act like only Margarito gets away with it.

Like I said get over it and watch the fight which is gonna be exciting.

No he doesn't, Zab is a good fighter, i like him a lot but Margarito's physical presence & pressure will get to Zab & he'll crumble, Zab has a great set of skills but he lacked the physical to be beating the great boxers at 147.

Agreed but that wasn't the time fram cuauht was referencing when I responded. He was referencing the middle of the decade when Marg got the "most avoided" title that top rank runs with.
You was also considered the unified champ if you held the WBO and the 2 others around this time period.

This was the 2000's man not the 90's.

But, irrelevant that title like every title is a joke.

Top rank "ran" with it...Because, that tag was actually pretty accurate.

Naw Dunn the amount of balls and pressure that Marg wouldve showed Zab would be alont to make Judah fold. Dont get me wrong Judah would land at will and look good at times but he eventually gets worn down and stopped imo. Marg vs. Judah is all wrong for Zab.

Just disgusting. Didn't earn the Pacquiao fight, just sat on the shelf long enough for people to forget he lost his last meaningful fight and now hasn't earn the Cotto fight but once again has sat on the shelf long enough for people to forget he lost his last meaningful fight. This cheating jerk is getting richer while his career continues to diminish and disinegrate.

That's not just knowing what Marg brought to the table.

              That's all that is.

Yes Big Dunce, is pretty much the same thing.

And, you keep talking about this 225k PPV like if it's so horrible. Around that time...What type of PPV numbers was Judah pulling? Take Floyd away what PPV numbers did Judah ever do? What about Mayorga? Take Tito and Oscar away what PPV did he do?
The zaveck thing is a joke. Your too ****ing high strung to have a debate sometimes.

AGain context. yes 225k is a good number. But the ESPN people were expecting more. And, when taking factoring in the demogrphics (ie mexican fans buy more ppv's than any group) it didn't meet expectations.

The whole "Marg is not good it was just Top Rank propaganda" **** that you insinuated a few posts. Is really just the mindset of mostly Floyd fans...Why I have no idea. So that were that came from. There was a reason...Why they felt the way they felt towards Marg...The risk didn't out weight the reward in any way.

The reason I, felt this way is based on the competiton he faced. Yes I am a floyd fan. Marg was not ranked 1 or 2 in any of the recognized sanctioning bodies at the time. Top Rank ran with the "most feared crap". I gotta bounce but I'll check in later.

Being champion doesn't mean anything? Had this been margarito's 4,5th title in a different division this thread would on fire

Thats why I said head on straight. I believe zab's skills and speed were unmatched. But his best weight is 140 so you guys make good points.

Jrosales13 I always choose skills over size and power. Marg , by your own admission, had a limited skill set.

Gotta bounce. Ill check in later.
