The only reason they wouldn't be able to negotiate is if Floyd goes on another year+ long vacation, so I don't get what he means by 'if we can negotiate'.

And 4 lawsuits including few felony charges worth 34 years in jail didn't stop the Ortiz fight from happening, so that excuse (which Schaefer already used last year) is out the window.

Just trying to hype the Ortiz sparring match any way they can. Adding big name Mexicans like Alvarez and Morales to the card, and of course keeping Pacquiao on their lips.

They could easily iron out the details now and have contracts signed with the condition that if they win both their fights, the fight in May of '12. All Floyd has to do is tell Haymon or whoever he wants repping him to call Top Rank.

I smell another vacation coming on, or even a flight overseas to England to duck the US media when the latest duck is unveiled.

So Floyd fishing for Fighters at 140 is greatness.. I can tell youve just watched boxing.. Floyd NEVER takes a fight with Cotto, Marg, or Clottey even now that theyve been damaged..

look at these *******s praying floyd is not serious lol. Oh yes *******s it's all coming to an end now. The only thing holding the fight back is pac taking full random tests which *******s love to scream he already agreed to and post that dumba$$ youtube video of pac saying yes to some questions. If Pac really will agree then he's about to get his a$$ handed to him and thus will bring about the end of the *******s!! In the words of Bart Scott "CAN'T WAIT"!!

As easy as the Ortiz fight should be for Floyd, it's probably not wise to look past it.

I agree and this is exactly what i've been saying today. These Mayweather comments threads are from last week's LA presser, just coming out little by little. BS already had a video i nit's main page of Floyd saying all of this. Now they're just repeating it in article form, a week later.

It's 4th of July weekend and the hits are down. Boxing scene needs Floyd like Bob Arum needs him to promote the pac man fights.

Its a shame that even when floyd says it flat out that he wants the fight next all the posters bring up a vacation, and meanwhile arum is talking mike jones and roach wants kahn to fight floyd first and they ignore that
