Its not so much people are questioning anymore weather he can be knocked down and get back up, it has alot more to do with can he be knocked down with a good punch and the answer is yes. If your a big puncher, and you can find an opening, you can score big. Im not saying Toney could do this, because i dont think he can, but ifyour a big puncher, its certainly possible.

I actually thought it was from horrific beatdown from the 3rd round on. Toney looked at Holyfield like "come on man, dont make me beat you more" Shortly after Holyfield just went down on his own.

Toney is an accumulation puncher. It's not that he has devastating power, it's that he wears guys down. He stopped Holyfield because EH was slow and was getting hit a lot. Remember that Holyfield was dropped and seriously hurt by John Ruiz in their second fight and Ruiz is not a devastating puncher. It was all about the amount of punches that Toney kept landing that night.

Ruiz has very decent power. He just has the small problem that he doesn't actually throw punches.

well, in the haevyweights, one punch can change the fight as the saying goes. just ask lennox lewis. it may only take one mistake. that's what makes the big guys so fun to watch.

on the subject of wladimir though. he did show he can take a punch. just not too well on the back of the head. i don't have a problem with people questioning how solid his chin is, just with people saying it's poor. you have to get knocked out cold for that honor. anybody would've had trouble with peter's monstrous rabbit punches. i've seen him KO fighters with just one of those. all wlad's KD's were results of illegal punches, either directly or indirectly. it affects your balance. first 2 no doubt. now the third kd happened just 2 or 3 seconds after peter landed yet another rabbit punch. i beleive one of the commentators even picked it up as it happened. peter also threw punches at wlad when he was on a knee. rjj got DQ'd for that as i'm sure we all remember.

peter is one wild swinger. the referees better keep an eye on him before he puts somebody in a coma.

Wlad must really suck as a fighter ,If Toney THE MEATBLL ,can destroy him , even though Toney has no power and could not destroy RUIZ !
I had no idea that Wlad was that bad as a fighter !

Wladmir is a tricky fighter, i don`t like him much but that doesn`t mean he`s no good , i thought Peter would beat him , shows how much i know , could go either way with Toney

I wish someone would put a gif file up of the left hook Wlad took from Peter in the third round and then Wlad ducking the next shot! It was the same shot that knocked Jeremy Williams out for 10 minutes! Can someone put this up please???

Toney is too lazy. If Wlad jabs from a distance continuously Toney will not have the reach to counter. I like Toney but Wlad is not a style for him to fight. Too well conditioned, too tall, too strong and too technically strong. Toney only has a puncher's chance and HE ISN'T A PUNCHER. He's no Corrie or Sam Peter. He's a points winner mopstly and he won't beat Wlad on points. Toney is a has a lovely boxing style but especcially if he comes in 230-240 again or more Wlad will use his face as target practice without leaving himself open.
