guinn chose the worst strategy he could've. played right into toney's fighting style and at the same time gave up not only a couple of inches in reach but also quite a few inches in height.
guinn's best strategy, perhaps, would have been to stick his jab and punch then space out if he found himself in clinches.
Don't you find it interesting how these guys keep playing into Toneys fighting style?
You just can't keep a civil conversation for more than 5 posts...
And you're questioning why some don't like Toney.. for same reason you are not liked by bigger half of the members here...
You want to keep yapping... go ahead you're only making yourself look like a complete fool, incompetent of having any conversation without eventually involving the Klitshckos... The discussion was about Toney, you just can't go on without the Klitschkos can you
Another ***** post.
You are pathetic Vidary. You really are. I wasn't the one who brought up Klitschko, but you were more than happy to continue blabbing about Vitali bringing up something about him being the only "Champion" who's never been down.
It's not my fault that (as usual) you turn into a crying little girl when you hear things that shatter your rosy delusions.
Vitali is a "title holder" not a champion, the circumstances under which he won his title are weaker than the oppositon he's defended it agaisnt since.
3rd time: The MAJORITY of real Champions through out history wouldn't have a knock down if they fought his opposition.
As for Toney, the 1st post in this thread says it all. It's a no brainer who he is and what he stands for. The only reason it needed to be said was because there still a few "Toney's no a Heavyweight" comments floating around.
But again, if you don't like it, don't read it.
Then maybe you can find another thread to complain and act like a ***** in.
Yeah...thats good matchmaking by Toney's camp. All the fighters he has faced at heavyweight are plodders. Every single one of them.
I agree, Holyfield would have been entirely different had he been somewhere near his prime but he was reduced to a plodder due to age.
This is probably why Toney is keen to fight V Klitscko, however it would be tough not to get hit by a big shot for 12 rounds!
Notice the absence of SEVERAL threads on the topic?
Thats because I only needed to create one.
But it is nice of you to attempt to bring it up, because it reminds me of all the spamming you were doing before you got your Spam warning and had to stop.
Nothing like being put in your place to show you what an attention seeking little spam whore you are.
Bozo...nice article, I personally idolize James Toney ability...truly one of a kind!
I think he beats every HW in the game except VK, VK's style will give James some problems but I would bet my mortgage that there isnt a HW in the world that can hurt James.

I was actually trying to get at the fact that he's forcing these guys into fighting him that way.
Ruiz didn't give a **** about the crowd and never has...yet he largely abandoned his style just for the Toney fight? Curious isn't it...maybe it was him trying to deliver the message that he could fight a different way but I don't think so.
There really aren't many fleet of foot heavyweights around right now. Toney has shown that he can eat up fighters with a longer reach from the outside and he kills them when they come in.

How about another Wlad-Peter thread?
Oh, that's right... you can't.
HA!
what an idiot
there are 5-6 threads about Toney
yours is the latest, and is spam
i have created a Wlad thread recently which actually contains an interview with Stewart
Regardless of what Toney accomplishes, he will always be 5'9" with what is at best a light-heavyweight frame. So far his greatest victory at HW was beating Ruiz, one of the poorest title holders in history, and even then he couldn't stop Ruiz even after landing over 60% of his punches.
Mickey Walker fought and beat better heavyweights than Toney has and no one refers to him as a heavyweight. This "Toney fights at heavyweight, so he is a natural heavyweight" argument just doesn't hold much water. If a cat barks, does that make it a dog?
Call him what he is, a blown up supermiddle/light-heavyweight campaigning at heavyweight. He's been successful so far, but that doesn't change his bone structure for God's sake.
