I agree with the article. Pacquiao shouldn't punch so much and punch so hard. He makes it so unfair with his power and stamina. They should have a punch limit for each round so his opponents can have a chance to punch back without fear. That way, the fights won't be so boring. Pacquiao is destroying boxing, he should retire. I hate him. Waaahhh.

I suppose pac is picking and choosing JMM like he did with Margarito, the man most people tried to avoid if they cared for their health.

JMM is only one of the top 6 boxers in the world at the moment, whos had time to acclimatize and adjust to the 147 division.

The reason Pacquiao fights are so boring is because he picks fighters who NEVER had a chance. With the exception of the Cotto fight, everyone he fought had no chance.

Mayweather vs Mosley, just the first 3 rounds alone were interesting because it was competitive, but all of Pacquiaos last couple of fights have been boring from round 1-12.

If Pacquiao picked someone with atlest a small chance, Martinez, Ortiz or someone with a pulse, they wouldn't be boring.

It's not Pacquiaos skill that makes him boring, so no he is not that GOOD, but it's his good cherry picking.

And Martinez isnt cherry picking? why isnt he going up instead of bullying the welters? hes rated as #2 i'd praised him if hes got BALLS to fight bigger guys up his division and take on any challenged...but he wouldn't do it otherwise he'll try to outdo manny to claim #1 without figting him.

If Pac skills are boring what makes martinez exciting? looked at his last ppv and tell me if martinez can fill up an arena when he fights.

I don't think that Manny himself is a boring fighter. I think that he hasn't been in the ring with guys are going to put up much of a fight lately. Manny Pacquiao spent many years in the lower weight classes where Mexican fighters are the main fighters on the landscape. Mexican fighters have always been willing to slug it out. Manny's better suited in those weight classes where the action is non-stop. These days, he's ventured into the wonderful world of the welters where the breed of fighter is completely different. These fighters use more of their intelligence, than they use their 'heart'. I think that he may be able to score fights with big names, but at the expense of the action packed 12 rounds or less that we've grown accustomed to watching. I also feel that Manny leaves too much in the hands of his team, and he's not assertive enough to prevent them from matching him up with guys like Clottey and Margarito. Those guys had no business being in the ring with Manny. Those guys damned sure didn't need to be PPV fights. I think that Pacuiao can make 140 pounds easily, but in doing that, he becomes unable to use catchweights to his advantage. If he fights at 140, the fighters will come into the fight in top form. At 140, he will get the stiffest competition he can possibly get. Doing what he's doing today will make people realize that Manny lied about fighting for the people, and they see will begin to see that they are being conned out of their hard earned dollar. That may cause some disdain, as well as drive his PPV numbers down. 700,000 buys for the Clottey fight, and 850,000 for the Hatton fight. Manny will always do mega numbers when he's paired up with a Mexican fighter. De La Hoya and Margarito did 1.25. I think he should fight at 140, which everyone admits is his NATURAL weight (hmmmmm. go figure) There will be plenty of action packed fights for him in that class. I will always hate on Manny Pacquiao for as long as he continues to try to con me out of my money. I knew exactly what to expect from his last fight. No matter how they tried to spin it, Shane Mosley was washed up and could present no kind of danger what so ever. I think that fight further outlined the critical mistakes that Manny would need not make when he's in the ring with a live fighter. Mosley's movement exposed another critical flaw in Manny's game. Stay moving and he'll never get a chance to set his feet and throw power shots. Shane was the first fighter that Manny faced in a while, that wasn't flat footed and square. If Manny misses wide right against a Berto, a Bradley, or a Mayweather, they will make him pay.

Hatton, Cotto was a 50/50 fight going in. De La Hoya was 4 to 1 favorite. How do you say he is cherrypicking when the perception is that half of the public or more thinks that he is goin to get beat...

Yeah, if they cared about being battered with loaded gloves. Once he was de-bricked, he got his ass handed to him by SSM. Don't even think that you're making any type of valid point by throwing Margarito's name in the mix. Don't try to make it seem as if Pacquiao took Margarito when he was at his most dangerous. We know that Manny stepped up to him after he was KO'd and suspended for a year. So yes, he is picking and choosing. He ran from Mosley after he KO'd Margz, he wouldn't even entertain the thought of fighting Cotto before he was knocked out, and he saw cry-baby Clottey's last fight that he won by my cards but lost due to excessive complaining. Your point has no merit. Face it, the guys picking and choosing. He waited Marquez out, and he's taking all of his fights to avoid fighting someone with a pulse. Manny's a joke.
