I agree, floyd knew he lost and wanted people to know he was better than that, and that is why Floyd so wanted the rematch to show what he can do and the first fight was a one off.

but a pbf loss in the first fight may have altered the course of pbf's career; to something far more different and perhaps more meaningful than what he has today....
Yes the judges had an off night like Floyd did. The judges had their chance and they blew it.

Fight was close but it was in no way a robbery..... I scored it a draw first time I saw it then watched it again without the sound on (no commentary and crowd influence) and had Mayweather up 7 rounds. You'd be surprise how much the commentary affects your perception of the fight particularly the HBO team . Doesn't matter though Mayweather beat him convincingly in the 2nd fight.

Had it a draw. Wouldn't have been upset if the fight went either way, it was close.

              ROUND_____1__2__3__4__5__6__7__8__9__10__11__12__TOTAL
              Mayweather_10_10_10_10_10_9__9__9__10__9___9___9___114
              Castillo_____9__9__9__9__9__9_10_10__9___9__10__10___112

              Notes:

              - I did think Mayweather won the first 5 rounds by clean, effective punching while avoiding most of Castillo's pressure and shots. If you were to give any of these rounds to Castillo you might give him rd. 3, which was the closest but I still think Mayweather took it.

              - Castillo got a point deducted in round 6, Mayweather got a point deducted in round 10.

              - The ref (Drakulich) wasn't as bad as the announcers made him out to be. Thought both point deductions were valid enough, though he might've trying to make up for the 1st call with the 2nd.

              - The official scorecards were too wide for Mayweather (Anek Hongtongkam 116-111, John Keane 115-111, Jerry Roth 115-111)

              - Who does everyone think won round 10? I think it's by far the most important close round. It tipped my scorecard from a draw to a Mayweather win.
Maybe you should learn how to score a boxing match......what your explanation for round 6?

I agree, it wasn't a robbery but I did have Castillo winning because he landed the more EFFECTIVE shots through the fight.

I think that's something that a lot of people sort of fall back on, punch stats instead of looking at the quality of shots.

I felt Castillo pressed the action, landed the more effective shots and had Mayweather on the ropes more than we are used to seeing.

I scored it for Castillo in a very close fight but I think he just outworked Floyd and landed the better shots.

Interesting point. Its clear Castillo performed better than anyone ever had against Mayweather. But being the best loser doesn't make you a winner. I thought floyd won but the scorecard was too wide.

I bet after the fight Castillo didnt even feel like hed been in a fight, but rather that hed done a aerobic or roadwork workout.

Floyd on the other hand was probably urinating blood and in pain. Felt like he had been in a fight next day. But judges obviously dont score it on that do they?
