    Rhodes was ranked #4.

If dominating him ain't world class then what is?

No disrespect to Rhodes but shouldn't you guys wait and see what happens when Alvarez fights world class competition before you get carried away with how good he is and how he would have a chance with any the real top fighters out there?

        By who?

        The World Boxing Clown council?

Baldomir was also "the best" WW at one point according to one of these joke organisations. And JCC Jr. is now WBC Champ for beating Zbik.

If you wanna play dumb, go ahead, but you know god damn well Canelo is nowhere near a top 10 level fighter.

Canelo is top ten and he's actually top 5 now. The division ain't very deep to be honest and the only guy who I think would be a favorite is Cintron, he would wreck Cotto and Angulo has a shot but I would make Canelo a favorite.

            They have no credibility.

Any of the guys you mentioned would drown Canelo and waste him. Even though Cotto is undersized there, he's got enough guile and skill to take the boy to school.

Cintron on the other hand would knock him cold out.

Even a shot Margarito would waste him and don't even get me started on the career ending beatdown Angulo would put on him.

This kid is raw as sh•t and frankly not nowhere near as good as they hype they try to tack on him.

He has improved a lot since sparring with Golovkin. he has shown a lot more maturity even from a year ago. He is more patient and picks his shots a lot better, before he used to throw wild punches and leave himself wide open.

I wasn't really convinced myself but tonight he showed a lot more in my opinion, I thought Rhodes would give him some problems but he neutralized him with ease.

We will have to agree do disagree but I would like to see him fight Cotto next or even Margarito.

I'm frankly shocked that you think so highly of Rhodes to begin with.

I saw an extremely bad fighter being fed to a mediocre fighter to make him look spectacular. And it still went 12 horrible rounds.

I guess we'll have to part ways on this one.

canelo had good outside skills but I've yet to see him fight effectively on the inside. If Cotto gets on the inside and manages to get him on the ropes it may be over for him but if Canelo manages to stay on the outside it could be good explosive fight

This seems like a excellent fight Cotto has the mileage to where he'll be a step up but not someone who could damage Canelo considering his age and inexperience at the top level yet still it has the makings of a tough-hard nosed fight were both guys would land and make it a entertaing affair.
Depending on if Cotto goes after Marg 1st then Canelo would prob look for a easy fight in Mexico and look towards 2012 to make a big splash and take more significant challenges
