I dont see it happening, Cotto is past his prime. I doubt he's going to do anything to Canelo, Canelo will out-work him.

I'll admit I was hating hard on Canelo in his fight against Hatton for obvious reasons. That being said the kid has improved quite a bit, he still has no head movement and he isn't that fast which I don't think he'll ever be faster, however, he throws great combo's and has good power. Cotto probably wouldn't KO him, but Cotto would take the kid to school boxing wise. People simply don't take opponents into account they just figure how the winner looked in the fight and nothing more. Cotto knows things Canelo has never even seen yet, for that reason alone he'll lose but it wouldn't be a beat down like people are saying either. It'd be 9-3 fight as Cotto's jab would be all he needs.

Canelo has better combos and faster hand speed and better body shots, Cotto has a good jab but he would be Canelo's ***** after 4 rounds Canelo beats him bad. Cotto would be on the run like he did from pac.

it would be a brutal fight for the first 8 rounds. i think cotto wins 6 rounds to 2 upto that point and then canelo stops him between rounds 9-12. kids good.

Right now i think Cotto would have to much for Alvarez. Would be a competitive fight though IMO.

Anyone who thinks Cotto would destroy Alvarez is delusional. He might win, but he isn't destroying a young strong fighter who is bigger than he is.

People are hating on Canelo in a very big way on this forum, i don't understand why. He is a talented young fighter who is being built up properly. We will find out soon if he is the real deal when the opposition is inevitably stepped up.

Would be a good fight. Canelo is getting better and better. I noticed he was putting his punches together beautifully against Rhodes and he was showing us some head movement. This should be a good competitive fight that I believe Cotto would get a decision win.
