I.e Cotto would obliterate his ass without ever getting out of second gear.
I am going to have to agree with you on this one. I still don't like Khan though.

I want to see this fight. It's the perfect step up fight for Alvarez and the perfect fight for Cotto to reestablish his name as one of the top fighters at any weight. This is the guy he should fight not Margarito. If he beats Margarito in December, this fight will happen.

The fight would be a passing of the torch.

Size would also matter here, Cotto ain't no 54 pounder.

Canelo would destroy cotto in 9!

Canelo's power i must say is really good! Rhodes was a natural middleweight , and canelo felt his punches and was not even bother a bigger guy by nature, cotto every time he fights a bigger guy, or a faster guy he has not enough skill to stay in the fight !;now imagine a 21 yr old ; that is fast ,really powerful and with a good defense and angles!

Big Cotto fan here, but I think he's being overrated a bit on here as of late. I don't see him "destroying" Alvarez at all honestly, and I don't think Canelo is even close to being a finished product. Not saying Canelo wins, but I think it's would be highly competitive.

A little too early in Canelo's career to talk about this fight. I don't think he's ready for an old lion like Cotto yet. Give him time, though.

yeah i have to agree, cotto is on his way out while alvarez isn't even close to his prime. people overrate cotto in cotto/alvarez because they hate on alvarez. i'm a fan of both, but this fight will not be easy for either guy, i wouldn't even be able to predict a winner 100%

Yeah, but Canelo ain't no world class fighter either.

Cotto's pedigree would cause mass damage to the ginger hype job.

It's too soon for Canelo to fight Cotto. Possibly a match-up which will never be made as they're at opposite ends of their careers.
