He will struggle greatly against Pacquiao man, no doubt about it. Can he win? Sure he could. Will he win? I don't know man, Pac is probably the most difficult puzzle in the world to figure out in terms of boxing- you can see the openings but you can do anything about it without taking a beating......Floyd definitely doesn't like the idea of taking a beating.
Activity is WAY overrated, it's about WHO you fight not how MUCH you fight. Activity means nothing if you're not fighting anybody.

actually there is...i expect floyd to run a lot to avoid getting koed ..we all know floyd has a very low output and he aint gonna trade with pac for sure....so even if pac misses more than he lands , iexpct it to be more than enough to win a decsion ....if floyd does'nt run he gets koed, plain and simple!

What I'm saying is that if Floyd had remained in the spotlight and fought the top guys out there on a consistent basis, then he would be the guy that people are saying is"the greatest of our era" instead of Pac. This is primarily based on his level of skill but when you sit on the sidelines as much as he has and let Pac fight all these guys, what choice does the public have? Especially when the only comparison you have between Pac and Floyd is the opponents that they have in common. Facts are facts, Pac beat some of the same guys much more convincingly than Floyd did, so the public derives that Pac is better than Floyd.
When you think about skill level alone and how Floyd shuts guys down, I can see him being a favorite in the fight and have no problem with that.

But when you talk about the most fan pleasing, exciting fighter out there- the fans are gonna choose Pac, not a guy that outpoints the opponent once every 2 years. Pac has fought Floyd's last 4 opponents and he is doing so for a reason- it's part of a plan. And really....Floyd and Cotto would have fought had Floyd remained active and fought twice per year but that was his choice. We all know how short lived fame is- if you don't stay in the spotlight, someone else will come along and steal it away- just the way life is.

When has Floyd ever RAN in a fight? Floyd doesn't run, he uses the ring to his advantage it's called ring general ship. Manny will not have a huge punch out put against Floyd. Manny will have to actually box and he looked pathetic trying to box against a shot Mosley.

Just what I was saying a few posts ago....you can see the openings with Manny but you ARE going to pay a price for reaching those openings and Floyd is not one to pay that price. Beating Pac isn't as easy as one would believe just as beating Mayweather isn't as easy as one would think it would be. Thinking something is easy, doing it in the ring is another..

But the thing is, as bad as Manny looked, he won every round and made Shane look 3 years past retirement. I just can't see Floyd toying with Pac in there and I think that people who wish to believe that are kidding themselves. Not saying that Pac would toy with Floyd either but it would actually be a close fight, much closer than a lot of posters seem to think it would be.

How fighters fare against common opponents means nothing. Who cares how Pac has looked against fighters Floyd has already beat? How did Foreman look against Frazier and Norton, compared to Ali? How did Foreman look against Ali? Who cares if Manny fights twice a year when he isn't fighting anybody? People get caught up in BS media propaganda, that's all it is. If Floyd was fighting the type of opponents Manny has fought as of late he would've been crucified.
