    cuban heavyweight knocks out luis pineda in 6th round

    luis ortiz won the vacant WBA fedelatin title & the WBC fecarbox title.both will now rank him in top 15.he's 11-0 & staying active.he's one to watch.he is taking the same route up the rankings bermane stiverne,david tua,bermane stiverne & chauncey welliver have...win regional titles for ranking.

          I see that they're (The HW Factory in So Florida) is moving this guy pretty quick up through the ranks as he's fighting relatively frequently and against decent opposition. I have yet to see any of his fights though...

            I watched the fight on a stream last night.

            Ortiz is just another overweight, slow, mediocre HW who won't go too far. His opponent was another fat guy and only 5'10".

            The Cuban HW who does impress me though, is Mike Perez - he looks like a bona-fide top ten contender.

              do you still have that stream? i have yet to see him fight.pineda is a blown up cruiserweight...last saw him fight adamek...

                    Boxrec has Ortiz listed as 6'4". He's recorded as weighing 234 for the fight with Pineda, two days ago. From this information, and the few pictures I've seen of him, "Big Thing" (lol) is in decent shape for a modern heavyweight.
