I was watching the Spada fight prior to seeing the Samuels KO and was about to mention that I thought Barker has a mean left hook to the body and follows up with one to the head. Then I watch the 1st video where hes throwing that combo and landing it nicely and all the sudden gets caught, Glove touches ground which you can easily see in real time, and KTFO Samuels with that same strong left hook......

ive seen barker fight live and hes good but thats it,martinez is elite at world level,im happy for barker getting a shot but hes going to get outclassed and knocked out,im shocked hes fighting martinez,i think hes had one fight in 16 months because of injury

Darren Barker has had one fight after his layoff and looked decent at best.

Other than that he has done very little in his career.

There is absolutely no way of giving Martinez any credit what so ever for this fight.

Quite frankly, I am stunned he is fighting Barker next, utterly bamboozled.

And I like Barker.

He would have got a world title shot eventually. He's one of those fighters who are somewhere between European and world level.

Not even remotely anywhere near that level.

Even that version.

I mean, atleast Margarito was a top level fighter before his lay off.

i prefer pirog over barker but neither do anything for matinez's legacy or pockets.
