WTF does Margarito need a tune up for? Margarito never had skills that would rust because of a long lay-off. All Margarito needs to do is make sure his conditioning is good so he can throw 1,000 punches land 200 punches and block 400 punches with his face!

I don't even want to see this fight for real. If it is on regular cable I might watch it depending on what other options are available that night of its on PPV I know I will not be watching that fight!

All I see are people saying that Margarito's chin is beastly, they are correct. But as Manny proved Marg's body can't take jack **** and Cotto is a far better body puncher than Manny is. I also noticed some jackass say Cotto doesn't hold, well don't you think that's a tactic he'll use this time around? I mean Jesus Christ, you can learn to adjust certain aspects to help you in the rematch and if you asking me "grabbing a guy" when he's close isn't something that's difficult to master. I also saw Check say that Arum is forcing Cotto to take this fight... What the ****? Cotto said he wanted the fight if the money is right, he not only got the fight he got it in NY as well, if Cotto never took this fight again I would simply no longer be his fan, especially if he truly believes he used plaster in the first fight.

As for the fight itself what can Marg's possibly do better this time around? He obviously can't take as much damage to his face after what happened to Manny. So while his chin might hold up his skin/muscle/tissue/bone in his face won't be able to. All Margarito did in the first fight was throw and take a ****load of punches, you can win fights that way absolutely but you can also look at his record and tell you lose a lot that way as well. Cotto is more than versatile enough to adjust what was and wasn't successful for him in the first fight. Also, unlike most people who think Cotto is "washed up" or "shop worn" while he isn't as quick as he used to be he is far from shot. A guy who is "shot" doesn't win his last 15 of his last 19 rounds, whoever his opponent is. If you're washed up you don't KO a guy who outweighs you by 15 pounds on fight night like Mayorga was. Cotto's defense, footwork, and jab have gotten better under Steward while the only thing I've seen improve on Margarito is... well nothing really. He's gotten progressively worse since the Cotto fight while Cotto has lost his "monster" appeal he's improved certain areas. Cotto by TKO in 10 rounds.

I dont think anyone thinks Cotto is God. However I do beleive that many Cotto fans feel he was cheated in the first fight. i think we have the right to beleive that considering Margarito got busted in his very next fight. ..So while I do beleive they are both past their primes, im glad this fight is being made so we can see if the outcome is the same. .. Im one of the few Cotto fans, that will admit I beleive Margarito wins regardless of plaster wraps, because styles make fights and Cotto's ******nite is a preasure fighter, with good stamina, and a granite chin. But we will see what happens.

What are you talking about? Pacquiao hit him with a near perfect shot to the liver, the fact that Margarito was able to stay up surprised me. Also, doesn't go to the body against pressure fighters. He's proved that several times. Margarito is just like Mosley, has a tremendous thick coat. A hard body and a harder chin.
