I was around and watched all those fights... And I can tell you that PBF and PAC are more media sensations than what those (Duran, SRL & Hearns) guys were... They were bonafide ATG's, no question, who individually wanted, without question, to challenge one another. And when they did face each other. You had boxing scribes and odds makers trying to figure out who'd win... And great arguments were made for both sides.

When SRL and Hagler fought one another this was more of a fight that was made to generate money, a makeup fight if you will, many had wished SRL would have faced him years earlier, before the eye injury caused by Hearns... And although the majority of people wanted SRL to win the majority of boxing scribes and odds makers thug Hagler would destroy SRL...

The PBF vs PAC fight is seeming more and more like an overhyped oversold fight between two overly cautious fighters...because the "majority" of non-Pac fans believe PBF wins... I'm talking mainly about boxing scribes, odds makers and professional boxers.

They need challenges where the outcome is already - for the most part a determined.

Whomever between them challenges and defeats Sergio Martinez at 154 - will in my opinion be go down as an ATG... Without it, there will be valid questions about their final place in history.

Lets wait and see what happens, hes gotta get through Ortiz first, no point looking past your opponent.

Lay-offs are not helping Floyd at all.
This poster knows what he's talking about.

Manny is not a technically spectacular boxer but his speed and power is very effective. Mayweather beats him 10/10 times but coming off a layoff and fighting him filled with ring rust makes it harder than it should be.

So is Roger admitting Ortiz is basically just another tune-up?

One day pac is garbage and noting more then media hype, the next day he s an absolute monster and special tests need to be administered just to insure the safety of the fighter brave enough to fight him... that pretty much sums up the "argument" against pacquiao, and that also pretty much sums up why no one with any kind of common sense has ever bought this bull****.

This is the same guy who said ortiz is a better fighter then pacquiao. Forgive me if his opinion holds as much credibility as a bums opinion on the economy. If u take ANYTING he says seriously, u are one dull knife.
