Any fighter risks ring rust if they don't stay active. Worse thing Floyd could do is take Vic lightly and not train properly.

If he looks like crap against Vic, Freddie might put in a call to Bob to have Manny tested immediately to set up the fight.

"All he got to do is take the test then we got a fight"

      ....

"After about 3 or 4 tune ups and another vacation or 2"

        for the English speaking *******s
You have seen when Ray Leonard came back and beat Marvin Hagler, right? Then he came back after another long layoff and he came back and Camacho whipped his ass. He came back and Terry Norris whipped his ass. What’s that tell you? It ain’t going to happen.

[I]“Well I wouldn’t think he would fight Pacquiao right after fighting Victor Ortiz. I mean it would be crazy for Floyd to go in the ring with Pacquiao after fighting Victor Ortiz!
In context. Sounds like he believes Pac would kick his ass!

He clearly thinks Pac is a real threat, not Ortiz.

          - Flaw in Roger's logic 101 -

He said that Floyd needs tune-ups, he also made comparisons to Sugar Ray Leonard's inactivity. But then he also pointed out that Sugary Ray got up and rose to the occasion for Marvin Hagler, because that was the "Biggest fight out there".

Well guess what Roger, Pacquiao is Floyd's Marvin Hagler. That Diabetes is making Roger more and more demented.

Exactly a top 10 ATG like Leonard was victim of old boxing age+ring rust. Floyd is not invincible, he needs his tune ups. But IMO Ortiz is enough of a tune up to go in there and face Pacquiao next in 2012.

Whether Pacquiao decides to take the test or not, that's up to Pacquiao. But let's say Pacquiao doesn't take the tests, and Floyd holds his ground on testing. Then I really don't mind seeing Floyd vs Khan at 147, Floyd/Pac vs Canelo at 154, Pacquiao vs Bradley at 147, and what the hell Floyd vs Guerrero/Maidana winner at 147. I'd like to say Mayweather or Pacquiao vs Martinez but that's not happening.

I think in 2012 the WW division will be a good division again, with Khan, Bradley, Guerrero, Maidana all moving up, and then you have Mayweather, Pacquiao, Ortiz, Berto, Mosley, and I heard Cintron is coming back down, and you also have Clottey. But obviously Mosley is done, but would be a good stepping stone fighter for Khan, Ortiz, Berto etc. You also have Dexon Alexander as a possible WW in 2012. But all this is just speculation and wishful thinking for now.

              No ****

That's all the Mayweathers have done over the last 2+ years- make Pacquiao seem like he's this invincible mythical warrior ala Achilles. He's the bulletproof giant killer and the greatest fighter ever needs non stop tune ups, vacations, and new testing before he considers stepping in the ring with him. Floyd Sr won't let his pride and joy anywhere near Manny as long as he's alive. According to him, Pacquiao 'got something in his system' that even OST can't detect so even if he agreed, still no fight. He's also on board with the never ending tune-up theory:
“I know exactly how to tell my son [how] to beat Pacquiao. I know how to tell my son how to beat him, but, you know what? You gotta remember, every day, he’s getting older,” stated Floyd Mayweather Sr., who spoke about his son, Floyd Mayweather Jr., and the possibility of a fight with Manny Pacquiao. According to Mayweather Sr., although he’s confident that he has the right gameplan to secure a victory over the Filipino superstar, he’s concerned that his son may be spending too much time away from the ring and may require, not one, but possibly two tune-up fights before a fight with Pacquiao can come to fruition.

“I don’t care who it is, man. Anybody that stays out of a ring, I don’t give a damn who they is…it’s something to be concerned about, anybody being out a length of time, because boxing, man, you have to, in order to stay crisp and sharp, you gotta be sparring and stuff,” Mayweather Sr. would tell FightHype’s own Ben Thompson in an exclusive interview.

“It is a deal where he might have to fight a couple of tune-ups.”

Sergio Martinez is Floyd's Marvin Hagler IMO.

Manny Pacquiao is more like, I don't want to compare Manny to Duran, but that's how I see Manny, as Floyd's Duran, but watered down. And also I don't see Floyd going toe to toe with Pacquiao like Leonard did with Duran.

So why didn't Sugar Floyd Mayweather fight Maravilla Sergio Martinez when he got off 'vacation'? Sergio will take the tests and has been calling him out for a year+...

This is one Sugar who will not fight his Marvelous or Hands of Stone

I can honestly say I've never known such a shadey family to talk quite so much ****, as that of the Mayweathers. It's cringeingly bad.
