Haye is NOT the best opponent Wlad has faced, not even in the top five. What Steward says here is that even in a weak division Haye had to fake and talk his way to a shot. Thompson, Chambers, and Chagaev might be weak as challengers, but they are all better HWs than Haye is. Haye would be a massive underdog on any non-Limey reckoning against any of that three.

thompson has been hayes sparring partner for several years, he says himself haye gets the better of him and beats him up.

chambers? u cant be serious. chambers is garbage, his skills are weak and he has no heart. haye would kill him, who wouldnt? chambers sucks even by modern heavyweight standards.

chagaev is the only one out of those three u can make a real case for being better than haye, and i still dont think so. he would have a punchers chance but i think haye would box circles around him and maybe stop him late.
