I have no problem with Cotto quitting because he took a potentially life damaging beating.

But Strugg is critisizing Floyd for fighting Ortiz because Ortiz quit against Madaina 2 years ago. Yet he fails to recognise the fact that Pacquiao also fought a 'quitter' in Cotto.

        wrong.

Berto is no where near top spot when Pac and Shane fought. Berto already lost to an unranked opponent. Floyd was not active or in the rankings.

        So sit down son.

Dude i'm not exaggerating Ortiz. He's ranked by ESPN and RING as the no2 welterweight in the world. And my question was, is Floyd fighting the 2nd best welterweight in the world a justified 'cherry pick'.

ortiz got stopped recently against Maidana and went to a draw at 140 against a journeyman.

            ummmmmmm

            Recently?

My friend, Ortiz lost to Madaina 2 years ago.

            Alot has happened since then..........

And Mosley looked like **** against Floyd and Mora. Had those fights been competitive, people wouldnt have critisized Pacquiao for fighting him. But the fact that he looked dreadful in both fights, thats what classified it as a 'cherry pick'.

If Mosley was #2 Pacquiao would be the Ring champ, he isn't. So you sit down son.

Right dude. Floyd wasn't retired. He just wasn't fighting. Hate if you must but Shane was not a top ww when he fought Manny.

Ortiz is the 3rd best ww right now. That is all anyone is saying. He is much moire dangerous at 147 then Marquez.

Mora came in at 160 lbs and Mora is more credible than Peterson. Mora did beat Vernon Forrest.

Ortiz went to a draw 1 fight ago against Peterson who is a bum.

Ortiz got stopped at 140 lbs. do you hear this?

There is a 20 lb difference between 140 lbs and 160 lbs. So going to a draw with a 160 lb legit contender is different than going to a draw with a 140 lb bum.

It's a decent fight, period. All the people I've seen campaigning against it are the same saddos who camp out in every single Floyd thread spewing bile. Just ignore them and enjoy the fight.
