They did however reach out to Mayweather's camp which was still in vacation mode and kept their negotiation absolutely private like they had something to hide. and now yeah announce this cherry picked fight after JMM/Pac was a lock.

No they didn't, the only person mentioning the fight was Mayweather. Pacquiao and Arum were silent. We know for sure that Mayweather made a challenge we cant say the same about Pac.

He isn't a great ww. He did just beat the 3rd ranked ww in the world and won a belt at 147. That does give him instant credibility at the weight especially since its his first time at the weight.

So all it takes is one fight to make or break a fighter? dude wasn't even ranked @ JrWW FFS! Don't get me wrong, hes a good kid, lots of potential but c'mon, he's fighting arguably the best fighter out there, he's out of his league and this fight will be over-hyped because of that ONE win. Hell, he'd probably be the underdog against the top 5 @ JrWW. WW sucks right now because of the recent clearing of the old dogs and there's a huge gap between Pac/May and the rest of the group.
