Ortiz is WBC Champion, young, fresh, prime, exciting, southpaw with good size, power and speed. Also the Number 2 WW in boxing.

      Great pick from Floyd.
Yes I did watch that fight and it was a very frustrating fight because ortiz should have blown Peterson away. He was so bigger and stronger but when Peterson started tagging him victor started doubting himself.

Shane Mosley was the 2nd best WW when he fought Pacquiao.

As a matter of fact he's still #3.

Sooooooo why was that cherry picking?

I think Victor Ortiz is a better fighter at 147 then at 140. He rehydrated to like 160 against Berto so it was time he left the weight.

Don't you think Ortiz earned a shot at either floyd or manny by beating berto?

No he wasn't. Floyd, Manny, and Berto were 1,2, and 3. He fought Manny after going back to 154 and drawing with Mora.

he's never been stopped and went to a draw at 160 lbs.

ortiz got stopped recently against Maidana and went to a draw at 140 against a journeyman.
