So sick of this sh it it's ridiculous.
Anyone that defends these comments or the fight, shame on you.
How many times has Floyd now avoided the obvious big fight in Manny, signed to fight someone else a few weeks after Manny has signed one.
Used nasty drug accusations and slandering to mistify a duck, Manny also has said he'll do any tests, Floyd said take the tests and the fight is signed. So what the fu ck is this shi t now?
Not even Martinez.
I don't get why he's not completely shunned from the sport.
This is a guy whom until the previous fight was considered a B fighter at best. He lost to Maidana, and went down in his last fight which is the one thing getting him any hype.
Christ if not Manny, then at LEAST talk of Khan, Martinez or someone.Last edited by Kris Silver; 06-08-2011, 12:16 PM.

Ortiz is willng to do OSDA
Once again people are looking for excuses. Everybody willing including Mayweather to submit to drug test. Pac even had Mosley do one. But Pac doesn't want to for a guaranteed $50 mil and people don't think something is wrong......Hey anybody not willing to take a test for $50 mil minimum I wouldn't trust they are clean either.........

I'm not saying that you're wrong, but on the other side of that equation, it's presumptuous of you to think that you're right. What weight did they spar at? Was it competitive at a time when Manny hadn't hit the pique of his talents? And if it was...then what does that say about Ortiz who has been inconsistent at best. It's more of an indictment on him that anyone else. And for the record I'm not a *******. I think it's time that Manny starts stepping up his competition again.

Originally posted by waxfondler View Postagree. floyd did the right thing by signing with ortiz... like i stated before, ortiz has the tools to be competitive, but at this stage, he is not ready for floyd. this is another high-profile tune-up (although floyd immediately retires afterward... so should it be considered a tune-up??)
the only thing that bothers me is that floyd CHOOSES to make moves when pac is contractually obligated...
• pac signs with clottey; floyd grabs opportunity to fight shane (great move).
• pac signs with margs; floyd goes attention-starved rant.
• pac signs with shane; again, floyd goes straight to the media
• pac signs with jmm; floyd signs with ortiz (great move again)
to me, i find it very convenient that when pac is contractually free, floyd is silent and is not thinking about boxing... then once pac signs, floyd is quick to make his moves... whether it be verbal attention-whoring or signing a fight.
yes, "take the test" argument applies... but when floyd states that there are NO NEGOTIATIONS happening, even if pac agreed, it is null.
pac is completely guilty for choosing undeserving opponents, but when pac is available to sign a fight, floyd disappears.
i would LOVE for floyd to have the contract signed & delivered putting the ball in pac's court... calling out pac OFFICIALLY. but instead, we get the "take the test" argument/propaganda even if floyd is "not thinking about boxing"... its like when pac "agrees to all testing" yet there is no papers signed...
Floyd is coming back and fighting Victor Ortiz after over a year. Pac didnt even want to fight Ortiz like he didn't want to fight Mosley til after Floyd BUT Shane was begging Pac for a fight. EVEN said he would do a catchweight. How much more proof do you guys need? Pac is supposed to be the best but he fought Mosley who everyone knew was done and the fight stunk. Floyd's coming back for Ortiz who just had a great win and won a title from an unbeaten champion.... Ortiz>>>>Mosley. Pac is playing it safe and it is as clear as day. But I'm considered a hater for stating the obvious? PLEASE.

I like Ortiz for Mayweather, especially with being off for so long, Ortiz def ain't no soft touch, so I give him (May) credit for that. I can only hope that Mayweather engages in tough fights from here on out, and by that I mean Martinez at 154.
