I sort of agree with Roger. Of course Ortiz isn't a better fighter than Manny, because his accomplishments in the ring fall far short to his. But I have no doubt Ortiz is a tougher fight for Floyd than Pacquiao would be. He's technically and defensively sound, something Manny can't boast. I've always thought Floyd would badly outclass Manny, but Ortiz has a great shot at taking Floyd's 0.

how can ortiz be more technically sound than manny? lolz, are you insane? he doesnt even have a jab and relies heavily oin the left hand...he was basically the same as manny pre-eric morales...

Marquez is the tougher opponent,if i were to pick between marquez vs ortiz,marquez rips him to shreds.

Floyds old ploy of this is tune ups,is b/s,this is just another fight in his usual timescale of fights,he never plans to fight a live and able pac.

pac will agree to everything,floyd will say no,pac will prob. retire,then floyd will call pac out months into pacs retirement,just to make himself look good.

Ortiz vs Marquez would be a great fight for as long as it lasts. Marquez is better P4P but Ortiz would likely win due to his size and power. Hes big for his weight and is likely just too big for Marquez to deal with.

Floyd Mayweather Jr trumps Manny Pacquiao again. First with Mosley in 09 and now with Ortiz in 11. Both fighters coming off impressive wins while Pac fought around them. This is a check mate. Everybody basically crusified Manny for the Mosley fight and now Floyd is back to take on the now highly regarded Victor Ortiz. Pac should be ashamed that he went for JMM instead of Vic like he should be for not fighting Mosley, when Shane was #1. Funny when people say Floyd is scared of or ducking Manny, when Manny is scared to fight the guys that are winning and looking impressive while doing it. Pac is the real one only fighting for the money and he still ain't making more than Floyd. I used to like Pac but after JMM (I love the Hatton KO though) he hasn't been up for any challenges.

many die hard boxing funs and pundits doesn't know that ortiz was once a 'punching bag' of pacquiao when manny was moving up in weight. ortiz was much bigger than manny then, who was still in jrLW. manny already gave ortiz his share of beatings.

ortiz just recently beat a class b champion in berto, who was exposed by another class b in ortiz.

why would floid fyt the "better" ortiz for less $$$ than the lesser pac for more $$$ ???
