This only tells people that being the WORLD champion these days doesn't mean anything when it comes to making a salary, it's all about who puts fans in their seats.

I like Ortiz, I'll watch him but most people just don't know who he is. Outside of mayweather and pacquiao, your casual fans have no idea who else is out there.

And when vic loses so what? He's young, he's come all the way back from laughing stock to stud, a loss against floyd mayweather is never gonna be half as bad as that madaina debacle. Floyd is great but he never puts anthing like a "savage beating" on anyone. Vic is gonna get taken to school and after he loses I really find it hard to believe his stock will fall much if any at all. No one thinks he s on floyds level. He has noting to lose which is exactly the position he needs to be in, that's when ur at ur most dangerous.

??? How do u figure that? If he can come back from quitting on his stool how wouldn't he come back from a loss to a man who is obviously better then him? No one expects vic to win and it will be a good learning experience. Losing a fight doesn't mean ur washed up or a bum, contrary to popular belief on these boards manny boxers have come back from losses and even getting ktfo only to do great things. Floyd doesn't have the offence to put a career ending beatdown on anyone, why would he suddenly do it to ortiz?
