Boycott Ortiz-Mayweather fight! Why? if my memory is right, observe the following for you to conclude that Floyd's really avoiding and has avoided Manny.

After Pacquiao-Cotto fight was finalized, Floyd announced his return to ring by fighting Marquez. After Pacquiao-Margarito was finalized, Floyd confirmed his return against an aging Mosley. Manny, after his one-sided win against Mosley, we never heard of Mayweather's return to the ring, but after Manny's third encounter with Marquez was announced, Floyd came out of his shell to declare his interest on fighting a neophyte in Ortiz. Isn't this obvious?

Floyd Gayweather is afraid of Manny. He wants to fight a neophyte who's weakness were observed by that "intelligent" boxer. Intelligent, indeed.

what???floyd fighting an overhype and bum fighter in ortiz who battered and ko and made him quit by maidana in lower weight, the one who escape with a draw against a lightweight in Lamont and the one knockdown twice by another overhype and bum Berto..

At some point, the tide will roll in to greet Floyd Mayweather and he WILL lose his first fight. It's just a matter of time, and timing. If Mayweather has slipped enough, Victor Ortiz might be in the right place at the right time to take advantage of that. Common sense and conventional wisdom says Mayweather wins a wide decision, but something tells me Floyd will be in the fight of his life against Ortiz.

Great fight, glad it was made, can't wait to see it.

People may have been calling for a Pac vs JMM fight back in 2008/9 when JMM was somewhat still near his prime. Without a shadow of a doubt at this point Ortiz is a much tougher opponent that is obvious. Ortiz is also a better win than Pacs last 7 opponents.

aside from mosley which we all beleive was shot before the wayweather fight.

oscar - came in a win over steve forge and make him bleed in round 6.
maybe oscar is drained but don't forget that oscar pick pac its not pac who choose oscar he thought he cherry pick pac, he thought wrong.

maybe clottey lost over cotto but that bout is a close one and cotto won by SD.

marg - before he fought pac he won the WBC LMW belt and 17pound bigger than pac on their fight night

cotto - WW champ, came from 2 win one is by TKO and after the pac bout, he won 2 another tko

hatton - came in 2 wins after mayweather 1 is by tko (malignaggi who has a bigger name than ortiz at that time) only mayweather and his suburdonates believes that he beat his opponent mentally if he believe hatton is been beaten mentally why did he came from two win with a TKO before he fight PAC. I say PAC destroys career (he made hatton, barrera and dela hoya quit maybe mosley will join the gang)

diaz - LW champ and came from a win over erik morales

ortiz notable fight is from overhype berto. I give credit on PBF fighting a young champion. but this young champion's name is way too small than the previous opponent of PAC.

like I said I am not discrediting berto, but to compare him with these guys is not fair..

why not just talk about PBF/ORTIZ fight, why comparing this fight over the previous fight or upcomming fight of PAC?

David diaz - yes, he was the champ, and he beat morales - but this is the morales that just got killed by pac and then decided to go up in weight.... not
that big of an accomplishment at that point in time (why wasn't Juan Diaz the one Pac fought - granted he's not great, but he was the one taking all of the titles from everybody)

weight drained de la hoya that already lost to floyd and couldn't take out steve forbes - and small ass steve forbes even messed up Oscar's face - obvious signs of a downhill slide...

* on the way down hatton who already lost to floyd, got his face bashed up by lazcano in that win, and just beat malignaggi (malignaggi had a name, but seriously, the pillows on this guys hand - not a threat to hatton at all.

* damaged cotto that just got crushed by margarito, beat up jennings?!!?? for a VACANT title and barely survived against clottey

*punching bag in clottey that fought life and death with cotto and his most significant win was against judah that was 2-4 in his last 6 fights... how was this deserving of a fight?!??! and he was being built up as a big, tough opponent b/c nobody outside of actual boxing fans knew exactly how he fights - and everyone ate that **** up.

*statue named margarito who was crushed by mosley, couldn't fight for a year, and beat robert garcia ??!?!? by the way - Margo WAS NOT a title holder - he and pac fought for a VACANT title even though pac NEVER fought in that division and Margo only had ONE fight in the division prior.

* leftovers mosley who lost to floyd and couldn't even beat SERGIO MORA...

*Next on the list... blown up marquez who has shown (watch floyd fight again) not be takin serious above 140 lb ...

who could he fight? Mike Jones?? (too green) Bradley ???(too small) Cotto?? (Pac's left overs) Alvarez?? (too green as well)
