Right, they were just two friends stating that they've agreed to fight each other after Mosley received his check.

I will say this -- Mayweather against Ortiz is a helluva lot better fight than that Pacquiao-Mosley crap. @NYPost_Willis

Perhaps coincidence? Ortiz is a southpaw. Wouldn't that be the best opponent for Floyd to face if maybe he might Manny Pacquiao after that?

I mean, Ortiz quited against Maidana, ok he was young, no problem with that, the big problem is he fought a draw against Peterson last year, who, in my opinion is just trash, then, beat Berto, he fought like a warrior but looked very fragile, weak again in this fight.

                  This fight is a joke.
Cotto was done after Antonio Margarito according to many observers and didn't Cotto take a knee in the Margarito fight? Don't get me wrong because Cotto earned my respect but the Cotto who fought Manny at 145 did not look half as good as Ortiz did in his fight against Berto. Ortiz quit but got better and I think at the end that is what counts. Marg put a beating on Cotto, took a knee and hasn't been the same since.

                    floyd has got IMPECCABLE timing
again, he beats manny to the punch for a meaningful fight of an overmatched opponent.... first, shane... now, ortiz...

i think most unbiased fans KNOW ortiz is an "easy" fight for floyd... floyd will pick this kid apart... its another GBP in-house party. and another bragging right for floyd to beat a guy "on an upswing".

team pac f*** up by signing jmmIII instead of ortiz... pac SHOULDVE set up a unification bout... but instead we get a catchweight fight.

IMO, floyd gets cool points for signing with a LIVE underdog. i think ortiz has the tools to beat floyd... but obviously, ortiz lacks so much other things that only experience will get him.

And they fail badly lol , its a good solid WW fight that is the best Floyd could have taken , and after a long time out its no pushover for Floyd , Manny would never take this after a long lay off without his usual CW bulls!t .

Manny your next Floyd is coming to expose you .
