and as long as Chavez Jr has Sergios WBC Championship hes fair game.... wouldn't you agree?
agree, and those 40+ wins on Chavez'z record could use less padding. time to become a legend. no shame in losing to Martinez. Chavez holding his own would boost him into the stratosphere. why not take the opportunity? cuzz Arum and Roach don't believe in him. let's see what the kid has to say or does everyone under Arum have no voice?

I can see Bob Arum and Sulaiman trying to pay Sergio Martinez off. He is the emeritus champion and has the right to force Chavez's hand. If the WBC tries to duck this then it would not be a good look for them, to go with the many other bad looks.

          Adrian Walter Daneff KO 4
          Javier Alejandro Blanco UD 8

          Antonio Margarito TKO 7

the only two wins that i say are quality wins on his resume are his win against williams and maybe pavlik...who are the rest of these guys other than cintron who was basically on a downsing at the time martinez beat him? and the rest of the opponants? i havent heard of any of them.

according to martinez's fight record, i dont see who were the top jr middleweight or middleweights on the list above...cotto going up in weight wouldve been a better opponant for martinez than dzinzurik...but yah, look at the names on martinez's resume...other than margarito, who were those guys up until he fought cintron and up?

          P4P BEST? YAH MY AHSS...LMFAO!!!
to the guy that said martinez dominated the jr middleweight and middleweight...i dont see any impressive names on that list other than williams, and maybe pavlik, that about it...nothing P4P about that resume, HAHAHA...LMFAO at that no name list ;o)

now compare martinez's to pacs resume, HAHAHA...no fahkin contest...if martinez wants to have an impressive resume, he needs to move up to supermiddleweight, beat froch and ward, then move up tp light heavyweight and beat atleast one of the belt holders,,,if martinez can do that, then he is my P4P king...until then, martinez is just a "MARAVIAGRA"

His last five fights are vs decent opposition especially in some circumstances where Williams was known as 'iron chinned' at the time and was laid clean out. Pacquiao obviously has the better resume but Martinez just needs to keep beating what's in-front of him. Chavez, Sturm, Pirog, would be nice names on the resume.

Martinez started at welterweight as well btw. He don't need to move up as far as light heavyweight, the SMW division is the only viable option after he destroys Chavez, Pirog.

Quit being a ******* as well it's just sad.

It already happened. Apparently Martinez fighting a middleweight that balloons to 180lbs on fightnight and that carries a legit middleweight belt is cherrypicking. I fail to see how but that's wat it is.

So supposedly Martinez can't fight anyone who doesn't have a chance of beating him, regardless of the weight. Thing is from 154 to 160, no1 really has a chance of beating him! So I guess he must join the super 6 or fight bhop.

Who in the hell said this?

CONGRATULATIONS to Sergio "Maravilla" Martinez for being ESPN's & BWAA 2010 fighter of the year and EARNING KO of the year over Paul "The Punisher" Williams

"Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. – and possibly Nonito Donaire – rank above him in pound-for-pound rankings. However, no fighter has accomplished more than Martinez over the past two years when you consider his opponents"
