the only two wins that i say are quality wins on his resume are his win against williams and maybe pavlik...who are the rest of these guys other than cintron who was basically on a downsing at the time martinez beat him? and the rest of the opponants? i havent heard of any of them.

according to martinez's fight record, i dont see who were the top jr middleweight or middleweights on the list above...cotto going up in weight wouldve been a better opponant for martinez than dzinzurik...but yah, look at the names on martinez's resume...other than margarito, who were those guys up until he fought cintron and up?

    P4P BEST? YAH MY AHSS...LMFAO!!!
to the guy that said martinez dominated the jr middleweight and middleweight...i dont see any impressive names on that list other than williams, and maybe pavlik, that about it...nothing P4P about that resume, HAHAHA...LMFAO at that no name list ;o)

now compare martinez's to pacs resume, HAHAHA...no fahkin contest...if martinez wants to have an impressive resume, he needs to move up to supermiddleweight, beat froch and ward, then move up tp light heavyweight and beat atleast one of the belt holders,,,if martinez can do that, then he is my P4P king...until then, martinez is just a "MARAVIAGRA"
You are smoking Pac crack. Manny opponents have been critized and crusified as of late while Martinez gets the props and nod for fighting the best opponents.....

CONGRATULATIONS to Sergio "Maravilla" Martinez for being ESPN's & BWAA 2010 fighter of the year and EARNING KO of the year over Paul "The Punisher" Williams

"Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. – and possibly Nonito Donaire – rank above him in pound-for-pound rankings. However, no fighter has accomplished more than Martinez over the past two years when you consider his opponents"

#2: Martinez calling out pac is not like pac calling out a bantamweight. Is like pac calling out a lightweight...WAIT...He is fighting a LIGHTWEIGHT this year isn't he?

kick rocks foo and know your weight classes.
Lmfao damn. In past threads there's been a lot of comments saying how Martinez vs Pacquiao isn't the same as Pacquiao vs Marquez, but that was a nice line...

Yeah, that was/is a good one. Fact of the matter is that, Pac fans are just scared of Sergio Martinez because they know he is better than Manny Pacquiao. I think Martinez should just fight a ranked guy or someone regarded and just officially take over the P4P#1 spot from Pac. Eventhough I have him #1 now. It would be good for him to focus on becoming the legit number 1. I say get Chavez Jr stripped and fight Pirog if there is no one else. WBC plan went wrong stripping Martinez and giving him the Emeritus status. **** backfired. Curious to know how they are going to wiggle out of this one.

JCC Jr will fight Martinez. He knows that he not only has his own legacy to worry about but his father's also considering he is carrying on his father's name.
No, Margarito was an experienced pro when they fought, whereas Sergio had only been fighting for barely a couple of years. Remember that Martinez did not fight in the am's.

Martinez was questioned about a Margarito rematch, but he showed little interest. The reason why, is because..... he has moved on, and things have changed, just like Manny/Torrecampo.

Margarito has never approached the level that Martinez is on right now, just as Torrecampo never approached Manny's level. That fight would not be competitive, and is not required.

I agree, I think that Chavez would probably take the fight if the decision was his, but I would prefer Chavez/Pirog, and Martinez fight his mando, whoever that is right now, probably Sturm or the other German.

              " only two wins "

One was the lineal champ, the other was the #1 contender.

When did Pac ever do that ?

              I'll wait.....

How the *** does beating up old men faded-champions and bums qualify you as P4P ?
