Yeah that's a good idea, cotto vs marg 2 in ny and chavez jr vs martinez in the west coast.

LOL. you read my mind. Chavez-Martinez in Cowboy stadium and Cotto-Margarito II in Yankee stadium on the same night....No LAS VEGAS. Its too bad we the fans cant call the shots or at least have somewhat of a say.

Beating Chavez in LA would be the best way to gain a fanbase big enough to sell on his own afterwards. Martinez will easily be recognizable to the general public as the first guy to beat Julio Cerzar Chavez' son. Then he could concentrate on superior lesser known opponents because he won't have to worry about money. All Martinez needs is one big money fight so he could leach off the opponent's fan base the same way every other fighters gets big.

Not to mention that Martinez trains and currently lives in Cali

Wow, the undisputed middleweight champion of the world, lineal champ that is, relegated to calling a rookie. Nice job Dibella, you have turned Martinez into the b side of a fight that is quite honestly below him. Chavez may jump at this chance. I think the fight sells, but if Martinez lays him out like Williams, Jr. is out of the picture, Arums alot of things, ****** isn't one.

agree, casual fans dont even know who he is but what ever happened to fighting the best and proving to be the best? The best at 160 is Sergio Martinez and they are using this lack of crowd drawing a reason to not fight him. This should be a fight Chavez jr should be demanding Arum to get him if he really has that mind set to prove he is the best.
