Chavez was getting with clean shots to a guy with only 10 knockouts and lets not forget that he was weighing at 180 so just imagine what Sergio would do if he gets his hands on jr... Boxing is more of a business then it was in the 70's and 80's plus we all know how Arum runs is circuit so I don't see this fight happening at all... Arum is going to try to get as much money as he can possibly can behind the Chavez name and taking a fight against Martinez is too high of a risk... Sorry boxing fans it's only BUSINESS

Martinez can exercise his immediate shot all he wants the bottom line is that Arum will never let Jr. fight him. I wouldn't be surprised if the WBC comes up with some dumbass loophole that can allow Jr. to keep that silly ass belt.

What gets me is that Arum acts as though Jr. is some kind of PPV attraction. Yet the only reason anyone would buy any kind of PPV with Jr. on it is because of his father's name. They damn sure wouldn't buy it because of his skill. His skills would only have him fight on Solo Boxeo or FNF at most.

I hope Cotto beats his ass and then leaves Arum and fights Sergio. That would be great.

While Sergio meeting Manny in the ring is almost unthinkable due the the difference in size and weight, Sergio facing JCCJr is logical, reasonable, and acceptable I'd say. It's been said so far for 3 years that JCCJr is in deserving of a world title shot and ready for world class opposition. Time has come. Let Sergio - Chavez Jr happen. Cotto will get the first crack, or at least Arum will try to push for him to. I'm sure Martinez will get his hands on Chavez in Chavez' next 3 fights, but it won't be right away. Now that he finally has a belt, Arum will try to feed him an opponent or 2.
