Who would win? Cotto vs Chico

Cotto is a harder puncher, throws to the body as well as anyone, has better defense, is naturally bigger, has a better chin (although he hasn't been tested against top notch comp...I'm positive that PBF wouldn't knock him down 5 times), has better defense, has the better raw skills, is a more effective counter puncher etc etc. Say that I'm a Cotto fanatic, whatever, its true...but I've been backing him for a long time now.

I think Cotto could take Corrales' best punches and would outclass and outpower him, KO'ing him in 9 or less. Corrales is too slow and plods too much IMO. The way to beat Cotto right now is to keep him outside with a powerful jab and try to eat his body up. N'Dou had the most effective strategy so far, smothering a lot of Cottos punches. A fighter like Harris would be a tough matchup as well since he's dangerous at long range.

What makes you guys think that Cotto is the bigger puncher? Just because you KO bums and fighters who are smaller and less skilled then you doesnt make you a big puncher. He has faught one guy with a real chin (N'Dou) and he didnt hurt him. Chico is the bigger puncher. What makes you guys think that Cotto is so much bigger then Chico. Chico is over 6 feet and could carry his weight to 147. He puts on just as much weight as Cotto. I guarntee you on fight night that Cotto wont weigh that much more then Chico, and thats if he does at all. Commen sense tells you that the bigger the weight gets the less skinny Chico will look. He's not going to look as slim at 140 then he did at 130. Dont give me that about Floyd knocking him down 5 times. Floyd is my favorite fighter but I also know that Floyd's power didnt hurt Chico. It was his speed. Most of those knock downs were because Chico was off balance or caught off guard by his speed. He always got straight back up and he couldve easily finished the fight. Speed gives Chico problems not power. Frietas hits harder then Floyd but he never really hurt Chico, and how can you see that Cotto's been hit by bigger punchers then Chico. No one that he has faught has anywhere near the power that Chico has, but Freitas power is close to Cotto's. I wish Cotto's management had as much confidence in him as you guy's. He was Harris's mandatory for the longest and he never faught him. He's got to step up in class real soon and when he does then alot of you are going to see that he's not as great as you make him out to be. I bet you Corley will give him alot of trouble. Everyone talks bad about Chop but his only 2 recent losses have come to Floyd and Zab. How many fighters wouldve beat those 2

You WILL see the difference in their frames when they are in the ring on fightnight. Cotto barely makes the limit and will move up soon. Sosa was a toughguy at lightweight but look what happened when he stepped up. When you see that left hook fold Corrales up your mind will be changed. I can't see his thin frame taking that shot.

Look dude, I told you that Cotto is my man. I was so suprised when his team put him in with N'Dou after the Mitchell fight. After that I said this kid could be a star, but since then he has went backwards with his opponents and I'm not the only one to say that. I'm just sick of every time we say Cotto vs someone, everyone says Cotto will kill him. He beats Baily and Pinto and everyone goes crazy. Cotto could be the baddast mutha out there, but he has to prove it be beating someone who is legit before I go crazy over him. Me saying that he would lose to a #for# guy is not a bad thing. I cant believe that everyone on here has went against me for picking a #for# guy who has been in with the best and wants to keep fight the best vs a guy who hasnt faught hardly anyone and I dont know when he is going to. I got my money on the guy who has did it and has been doing it for a long time. Everyone always talk about what Cotto will do but no one ever thinks about the things Chico can do. He is probally #for# the best puncher in boxing. Why didnt Cotto break N'Dou up with those big lefts? Even Merchant said after the fight that maybe Cotto isnt the puncher that people think he is. The better the opponent the harder it will be to KO him

he only have 22 fight and just did his first defense give the kid a ***in break...He has always said that he leave in the hands of Arum who will be his next opponent...he just train to get the job done...Maybe you don't like the "bums" he has fought, but he has shown great skillz against them...Plus he and Floyd are the two "golden boys" from top rank...Arum will try to take care of them before a mega fight...

I'd bet on Chico. He's a war tested vet that would take Cotto into deep waters. Cotto's not ready for him not only because of the experience factor, but also Corrales is using his boxing skills as of lately. Chico isn't as skinny as most think he is. He comes in well over the weight limit by fight night. I hope all don't think this guy walks around at 140 lbs. He's like 5'11 so he probably gets up to 160 when not training and by fight night he's probably around jr middle. Chico's got that explosive 1 punch KO power. He's not a 1 dimensional fighter & he has a great trainer. Cotto's not ready & would either get outboxed & jabbed in his face all night, or would get stopped late.

You dont get it. My point is that I'm not upset with Cotto, I'm upset with the Cotto crazies that thinks that after 22 fights against inferior competion that he would destroy nearly everyone. I'm not even talking to the Cotto fans because the guy is really talented and he deserves alot of credit. I'm talking to those guys who when after he fights guys like Baily and Pinto they see he's a truck who cant no one **** with
