Marquez has never had a chin. He gets rocked against everybody he fights, practically.

I think Marquez will be able to counterpunch himself through the fight, even though Pacquiao will be coming, throwing punches etc.

since when has pac steamed rolled over jmm. He didnt do it in his last two fights what makes you think he will do it now. Jmm has pacs number. He is the one fighter he will never clearly dominate.

He didn't need power in his previous fights. It's a matter of being smarter and overall better fighter. The thing is that, almost 4 years later at 38 Marquez doesn't have the same reflexes. He's still a master counterpuncher and has very well educated combination punches. He can still might make the fight interesting, I think.

I don't know how you can say that, Marquez has always had good power and he's used it, he commits to alot of his counters, snapped Pacquiao's head back many times in those two fights. He's gonna need power or else Pacquiao isn't gonna respect him. It's not like he clinches or moves around the ring for you to say he isn't gonna need power, because we both know Marquez doesn't do either of those two things

i don't think jmm has a chance in this third fight, a little too late imo. either way, jmm is going to try and do his best, i think he will get dropped once or twice, and manny will get a clear UD.

Pacquiao didn't respect his power per se. In the previous fights Pacquiao was hesitant to throw because he would get hit if he made a mistake. Marquez doesn't necessarily need power, he has to be accurate and needs to make Pacquiao's input drop by counterpunching effectively. The fact that he has good power helps but it's not THE decisive aspect.

Right, Marquez should rely more on skill than anything else this encounter. Power wont do much since he wont be clashing or relying on it as a key instrument to victory. He is relying on Pacquiao to lean in during his flurries and then sway to the right or left and let his hands go.
