Why would Martinez want to do a catchweight? Thats Hopkins prime weight. And Martinez's worst weight I would think. Hopkins needs to fight Chad Dawson. But I really want to see is Bernard "The Executioner" Hopkins Vs. Lucian Bute! Very close fight! Hopkins said after he fought Pascal that he wants Dawson and Bute next. I hope he waits a while for that and Sergio Martinez tries fighting a few easier fights there first before he fights one of the best if not the best Light Heavyweights today.Comment

I don't think Martinez will actually fight at that weight. If he moves up it would be to fight a super 6 competitor at 168. 170 is way too much at the moment, maybe if he proves to be effective at 168 he could try 170.Comment

Is there that much of a difference between 168 and 170. Obviously, no.
Also, for those sayin Martinez will get murdered - no way. Calzaghe beat Hopkins; Calzaghe may be bigger than Martinez, but he's not better. It would be a very interesting fight, and I could see it goin either way.Comment

Hopkins has nearly always fought smaller men: Oscar, Winky, Pascal, Calzaghe, Taylor, Trinidad, etc.
The only one about his own size was Tarver.
It's no surprise he wants to fight Sergio, instead of moving up and fighting for a title at cruiserweight or heavyweight.Comment
