Considering he lost to a cheater...and his only true loss was to P4P king pacquiao (Even with no trainer in his corner he did pretty good)...besides that, cotto has the tools to beat mayweather. Cotto probably beats everyone Floyd fought at 140 and above. He might have some issues with Oscar at 154 but I would lean on Cotto the get descion.

The only one who is competitive with him is Hatton but he beats Hatton. Probably stops him.

manny couldn't cut off the ring
cotto would walk shane into a corner and break him down if he wasn't willing to exchange punches (which he wasn't when manny fought him, or floyd)
cotto, before he became gun-shy, was a come forward destroyer (obviously with other dimensions) who knew how to wear a man down with body punches and more importantly reduce the size of the ring (the only two ingredients missing from manny's fight with shane, the reason he wasn't able to stop him)
