So maybe we can focus on Floyd's 147 Resume... Cotto beats every single opponent of Floyds.

Mosley and Judah are arguably Mayweather's best wins at 147.. And as we know, Cotto destroyed Judah, and beat a younger version of Shane.

Who could beat Cotto? Hatton @ 147? Baldomir ? Mitchell ?
to be fair , margarito and even mosley would beat everyone on floyd's 147-154 resume.

Cotto destroys everyone on Floyds resume especially Oscar and Marquez. Cotto wipes them both out in 6 rounds.

I don't think he beats the Oscar Floyd fought at 154, maybe not the one that fought Manny if that fight was at 154, at 147 he would beat him either time though.

I don't think Cotto has the skills attributes nor size to really get at Oscar even a later version if Oscar is healthy.

Cotto would not stop that version of Mosley. No chance. Cotto-Mosley is destined to go to the cards. Mosley is an iron chinned fighter who has only been down 3 times his entire carrer and has fought bigger puncher's than Cotto. Cotto wouldn't stop Mosley.

Cotto might have fought better opposition above 140 than Mayweather but his resume isn't better than Mayweather's at 140 and above
              . They're about the same.
              WTF?

I believe Cotto style matches well with FMJ. I'm probably in the minority, but IMO Cotto beats Floyd.

The question is valid and I agree Cotto beats everyone in FMJs resume.

Either way If Cotto was pursuing Mayweather, Floyd would retire.
