    Thank you

There are a number of sports which have way more coverage then boxing, ie rugby, cricket, formula 1 to name a few

We get behind our boxers period.

I think because the US is the mecca of boxing you guys kind of take the stance of a host, more neutral. Kind of like the English do with football in the premier league because it is such an international league, we give foreigners as much exposure, and sometimes even more credit then our homegrown players. HBO is kind of an international brand and you quite often have 2 big fighters fighting on HBO and neither fighter is American.

But you should definitely get behind your fighters more, you have no sense of pride or identity when it comes to your own fighters, I think this frustrates a lot of US fighters including Mayweather. In his case though I think it is partly his own fault, he never allowed himself to be marketed in the right way from the start, he wanted to appeal to the hip hop culture, and didn't want to 'sell out'. Well you reap what you sow Floyd...now he blames Bob Arum. The kid is a joke.

US doesnt care about boxing as much.

theres basketball, american football, baseball, even hockey. goto a sold crowd at either of those sport stadium and tell me whos more passionate. ull be surprised hockey fans can be very passionate. so in boxing MAYBE u guys have passionate fans, but i bet you hispanic fighter and pacs fanbase can certainly rival you guys.

so its not about race, its mostly whos race is interested more, and US has alot of options so they dont stick to just soccer and boxing.

      simple as that.
Boxing is one of the most least popular major sports in the UK.

Football, Rugby, Tennis, Cricket, Golf, F1 etc are all much more popular.

As for atmosphere and passion, when I went to Froch Dirrell in Nottingham, the heat and tension in there was intense, and when we had to wait 90 mins for the main event to start, everybody started singin, Tom Jones songs and Elton John stuff, it was great.

              Exactly right!
In Europe formula 1 is big (especially in england), but here in the USA, F1 will not make money. There are 50 states, almost all states has 1 or 2 major racetracks. Formula 1 race here is just like another friday night race in local track.

Racetrack in europe are scarce, one event in a year that's all they can take.
They are all shouting and flag waving zhyte.

They attemted many times to bring the F1, but always a failure.[/QUOTE]

Paha ha...race tracks are scarce? lol

I hate insulting people, but you are asking for it...go and do your homework before you speak, your on the internet for god sakes!!

Formula 1 doesn't work in the US because Nascar is the dominant motorsport, it has nothing to do with the amount of tracks, Formula 1 is so expensive they need to be in parts of the world where the interest is high so they can get big gate money, thus why they are taking some of the European Races off the calendar, because there is not ENOUGH interest, so that blows your theory out of the water. Formula 1 is a global sport anyway.

"has nothing to do with the amount of tracks"

Has something to do with abundant of races we watch every minutes in the USA.

You can watch a race every friday-saturday-sunday and holidays or even drive your car in any of these facilities. formula 1 race turning is a wrong direction, just another race for us. Nothing special for us - not like in Europe...once in a blue moon.
As I said, how many times they presented formula 1 in the US? A bunch of times and all failed!!
They are planning to bring it again in Texas --- it will be another failure - no one will watch.

Sport is a big part of British culture, for a small little Island we are competitive in all major sports. It's deeply woven into our culture to support our sports people. Pints of lager are also a big part of our culture...stick sports & beer together and you have the loud, proud singing British fans

I just hope in the future we get another Ricky Hatton that everybody across the nation can support.....
I don't know why fans from other countries are not as passionate. I love the atmosphere the english fans create. I've noticed that some countries the crowd is completely silent except for applause when their guy does something good.

Any more insight on that Riot you witnessed last year that just so happened to occur in 1995?
