true story. when i was 12 some of us from our select team went over to england to play in a tournament. i asked the family i was staying with if they could take me to a store so i could get "toothpaste, and toothbrush". their response with dead serious stare: "why mate, you're only gonna be here three days?"

so come on dude, i know that not everyone in england has dookie tooths and bad hygiene. just like not everyone in america is obese and ethnocentric. it works both ways. travel some and you would realize that.

could you cite me an example? it seems that a lot of englishmen became mayweather fans after the hatton fight as well. hmmm. maybe fans from all countries have equal propensity to be "bandwagon jumpers"? just food for thought. if you can quantify your theory, please, do so and prove me wrong.

I'm not here to prove anything but I'll throw one name at you - Paul Williams. Last couple of years he was 'the most feared/avoided man in boxing', loads of people (on this forum) had him in their avatars and signatures, then he gets beat by Martinez and suddenly people are saying he should quit if he loses again.

          Same thing happened with Pavlik.

A lot of Brits became Mayweather fans because they respected his performance against Hatton. They didnt stop supporting Hatton.

Thats the thing bout British fans, we'll boo your anthem, sing abusive songs at you but after its all done, if you beat us fair and square, we'll give you respect.

lol ironically the fat beastly english attempting to sing kesha rocks "lonsdale" brand shirts.

what about amir khan? you guys turned on him, now a lot are trying to embrace him once again.

also, paul williams was never a big draw here in the states. he never had a big fan base. his most staunch supporter, da bush baby, is still a staunch supporter. don't know if he's american or not, though, lol.

amir khan was done in by his own countrymen. . .
