Why do you guys keep on acting like Martinez is ducking Sturm, not the other way around? Both Dibella and Martinez have stated they want Sturm numerous of times, but Sturm doesn't want Martinez right now because he just started his own promotion company and doesn't want to get off a bad start by losing.

All of this because Martinez said Pac ain't ****. Those wasn't his exact words but once he called Pac out and said that he is too small, would finish him off easy and Floyd was more of a challenge. Pac fans lost their minds and now they are out to smear Martinez's name. Talking about Martinez is ducking fighters but he can't even land a meaningful fight with ANYONE

Martinez is droppin Pac's name cuz he wants to get paid... thats it. Everyone knows Pac is too small, those who can't see it don;t know **** about boxing (or simple math)... they wanna hate on Pac, but it's all good... Pac is already getting all the credit he deserves from all the credible sources. When all is said and done, Martinez won't even be mentioned in the same breath as Pac.

and you dumbasses who say he cant call Supper Middles and Hopkins due to obligations blah blah blah,.. since when has that stopped anyone from dropping anyone's name in boxing???????? exactly. he aint droppin bigger guys' names because that opens up the doors for other boxers in the weightclass to take up his offer... and he doesn't have it in him to take on those kinds of challenges.

Actually, Martinez pretty much did say that Pac was over-rated, he said that Manny is fighting old men, faded champions, and guys who are not on top of his game, as did Mayweather, Marquez, and Mosley.

At one stage the top 5 P4P were Pac, Floyd, Marquez, Martinez, Mosley.... 4 of the top 5 shredded Pac's resume.

goddamnit!!! senora sergio needs some more time to add more muscles before he can fight above 160... so please don't hit on sergio like that, marley...

for the meantime, he will take his epic skills to challenge smaller men...

Martinez, Pac, and Mayweather all won belts at "154" or have at least fought there. I have never seen Sergio fighting at 168 or 175 so why should he be forced to fight guys in a division that he has never, ever fought in and be looked down upon for wanting to fight guys that claim to be title-holders in a division that he has already fought in? It'd be one thing if Martinez had already moved up to 168 previously and now is refusing to fight those bigger guys but he came up from 154 to 160.

So I guess if he winds up fighting Chavez jr or Zibik, he is still cherrypicking on smaller dudes too?

lmao yea, f*kin hilarious... criticizes pac's opposition, then calls out one of them... pretty much all you need to know about the type of person Martinez is.

i think you're missing the point.. if Martinez wants to build his legacy, he doesnt really need to beat Pac or Floyd, if he beats any of those bigger fighters (for example a bute or a ward) no one would really question that he is the best fighter in the world... but i dont think he wants that.. i think he just wants to get paid. Pac already said he's too small to be fighting above WW... and i dont have a problem with that... much the same way i wouldnt mind if Martinez moved up to beat Arthur Abraham and then realizes he's too small to be competing at that weight class... at least to me, he took on that challenge... but it looks like he doesnt have the balls.

How has everyone missed the obvious point to be made against Pac? Martinez is getting killed for wanting to fight a guy at 154 who has won a 154 title in the last year, but it's fine for Pac to fight a smaller guy in Marquez who is 2 full weight classes below where Pac is. What's good for one is good for the other. According to this guy's logic Pac shouldn't be picking on a smaller guy. I keep hearing Martinez should fight 168's or Bhop, but how exactly could that happen next fight even if he wanted it to? Bhop has a contractually obligated fight with Dawson next, Bute has a 3 fight contract with Showtime while Martinez is with HBO, and the SM tourny is still holding up the other attractive opponents at 168. The only one I see he could possibly fight right now is Direll, and I don't have a clue where he has disappeared to at this point since running scared from Ward.
