Why would 154 pound Martinez call out 170 pound Hopkins? There not even near the same weight class. An anyway, Martinez is doing him a favor by not calling him out cos he would make Hopkins look real old real fast.

Pac on the other actual holds the jnr Middle weight title at 154, so it makes sense that Martinez calls him out too. If Pac's the real champ at 154 then he should fight to retain it! Simple!

Either way if Martinez wins either fight this writer would say "Martinez picks on small guys" or Martinez picks on old men".

as much as I like Martinez and I really don't see anything wrong with him calling out Manny or Mayweather...it is OTHER OPPONENTS! The Chavez fight really does nothing for me, I think he destroys Chavez...but how about the guys IN HIS DIVISION:

all of these guys are rated higher then Chavez at 160 and I think all of them would BEAT CHAVEZ! The only reason why Sergio Martinez went up to Middle Weight to fight Kelly Pavlik was because no one wanted to fight him at 154. Remember when Angulo priced himself out and Williams went to fight Cintron after the first fight? Funny how Pac fans don't even do the research or know what is going down in the sport but love to call knowledgable posters "haters". Sergio couldn't even fight at Super Middle against any of the guys like Hopkins and Bute because all of them guys are either occuppied or have other network obligations. Can't blame Sergio Martinez for wanting a pay day. The guy has faced tough opposition that supposedly no one else wanted to fight. Williams, Pavlik, Dzinzurik. He wants a good payday, and unfortunately for him there is only Pacquiao, Mayweather, Cotto or Chavez jr. Ward and Hopkins as great as they are, aren't exactly cash cows. Not to mention Hopkins and Ward are both tied to other fights now.
So lets see
Pacquiao = to small won't fight him
Mayweather= retired or something, who knows
Cotto= has turned the fight down, possibly tied with Margs
