Even if you think that Froch somehow deserved to win the fight there is absolutely, positively no way that Dirrell was "easy work."

If you made a video of the 15 best punches landed in Froch-Dirrell probably 13 or 14 were landed by Dirrell.

LMAO at the moron early in the thread who says "Dirrell had a bloody nose and Froch didn't" Jesus Christ what a ******.

The Matrix beat Froch. And Froch knows it.

I had Froch winning. Yeah you could make the case Dirrell should've won, but I think Froch pulled it out the bag. I really don't see the problem. It was a close fight but it was Froch was pressing the action. Judges giving a close fight to the aggressor isnt that outrageous, especially the champ.
I think Dirrell was too green for the tournament and would of learned from this fight, he knows now that he's got to take his game to another level if he wants to be a winner. He had opportunities to do some damage if he simply sat down on some of his punches but he chose not to.
As usual Carl summed it up well in his post fight interview (just went back to watch some of the fight), the Super Six Tournament is meant to be about the best going to war with the best, not trying to convince a fighter widely regarded as the most skillfull fighter in the tournament that he should make a fight of it, this isn't an international amatuer event.

i thought dirrell won the fight by a hair but not convincingly enough to take the belt from the champion (if that makes any sense). definitely not in froch's backyard. perhaps a draw would have sufficed? i don't buy froch's "easy work" statement. dirrell frustrated froch, who in turn, resorted to using dirty tactics. be that it may, dirrell should get back into the ring before running his mouth. he pulled out of the super six tourney to avoid fighting andre ward, citing neurological damage from an abraham punch that wasn't even that hard (yeah i said it)!

                BS that Dirrell beat Froch

"The Matrix" (BTW the most ****** name in boxing) is a glorified amateur boxer that has proven he doesn't belong in the professional ranks. Smug faker...

I think it was psychically easy work for both of them. Not the kind of fight to put miles on the clock.

I doubt that either of them saw the comment that way, but I just figured I'd point that out either way. Whoever you had winning managed to do so without taking serious damage.

That's a reasonable way to look at things.

they both struggled with each others style, but it wasnt a grueling fight. The african amrican cintron, simply didnt and still dont, have the mentality. Such a shame with his athletic abilities.

imo dirrell probably edged the boxing part of it, while froch edged the fighting part of it. If that makes sense. Combine those 2and its a close call.

Had it for froch, i just couldnt give it to dirrell. In my humble opinion, it wasnt froch who won it, but dirrell who lost it.. Oh ****, im starting to sound like frank warren, after degale-groves
