Leonard moved up to fight Lalonde and Duran moved up to take on challengers such as Hagler and Barkley. This is why neither Floyd nor Manny are even close to their level. Yet so many Pac fans want to argue that he is the GOAT LMAO! I don't really see Floyd fans saying he's better than guys like Leonard and Duran who are certified ATG's. If either Leonard or Duran had the opportunity to fight Martinez best believe they'd take it.

funny that you bring up Lalonde. Do you consider the championships that Leonard won that night as legit?

Exactly, they guys moved up in weight with no problem, but then again ALL the fighters of that Era had much more heart than todays fighters.

The only fighter with possible that type of heart today, might be B-Hop

pacquiao weighed in at 142 pounds for a 150 lb catchweight fight

and martinez is a solid middleweight 160lber

        What does that tell you?

No but I'm making the point that Leonard and Duran didn't make up ridiculous excuses to duck opponents. Hell Leonard, Duran, Hagler, and even Benitez all fought each other. Floyd and Manny won't even fight each other but yet some people mention them in the above fighters class, which is a damn shame!

They are greater fighters than Pacquiao and Mayweather. We know that.

yup pacquiao doesn't know the first thing about moving up in weight despite being a record 8 weight division champion (his 8th being the most questionable yet still a whole lot more valid than the belt ray got from lalonde) and record 4 lineal titles.

              Stop posting.

If Sergio was shop worn, flat footed, and slow Pac would fight him. This is the same guy who called Yuri Foreman "too tall" who went on to fight Antonio Margarito who is the same height. Pac runs away from anybody that displays movement!

YEP! Duran was what...5'6 or 5'7...he fought Leonard who was 5'10 or 5'11 as well as Hearns who was 6'1

don't matter that he lost, his Legacy was already SAFE from what he was able to do at 135, but the man wasn't afraid to test himself AGAINST THE BEST even at a older age

that is why I think it is HILARIOUS when you have these fans who try to rate Pacquaio and Mayweather so high...I don't even think they making out of that 4 Kings ERA (Duran, Leonard, Hagler and Hearns) ALIVE! So how can you rate them higher then anybody from just that ERA ALONE...but when you don't know your HISTORY when it comes to boxing...OF COURSE some of these fans Rankings are going to look CRAZY
