From what I've seen in both Hopkins and Dawson last fights, I think that BHop can win this fight. Yeah, Maybe Hopkins rivals were not the best, but they were actually not so different from Dawson.

Pascal was limited, and wanted to win the fight with one punch or one brutal combination. Against Hopkins, that's extremely hard to do.
Dawson's last fight against Diaconu showed that he's way to passive, he threw some good punches but also stood in front of his opponent doing absolutely nothing for a while. Against Pascal he was also passive until the end when he threw several combinations but unfortunately for him, got cut and lost by TD.

If Dawson fights the way he did against Diaconu he'll lose. If he becomes more aggressive then he'll have a good chance of beating BHop.

A change in name may be in order - RandomIdiot seems fitting. Bernard made a much better fight that Dawson did.

Pascal was tailor made for him, a young dude who has power but doesnt know how to use it that keeps coming forward. He played Pascal perfectly and it was kinda an exciting fight by BHOP Standards (Usually his fights are Insomnia Cures) .

I wouldnt be suprised if this was the most amount of money he made in his career from the gate cut and will look to fight in Montreal again. I think he might go in with Dawson but go back to his usual 12 rounds of running/clinching/dirty tactics and either lose on points or win on points.

Their plan was never to make it an exciting fight, in round 2 or 3 ****m was screaming at BHOP to just "Clinch".

I have a feeling BHOP is very happy with the amount of money he made in Canada and will try to end his career here against some big names because he will make ALOT more cash than down south. If you put a Pascal or Bute fight on the card the place will be packed again. If the Dawson-BHOP fight was in America there would be like 2000 people at some Indian Reservation or at Home Depot Centre in Carson.

BHOP knows this is his time to make the best money of his career, I just hope people didnt get fooled by his "Exciting fight" promise. You cant teach an old dog new tricks.
Pascal does everything but come forward.

He literally runs around the ring in circles, and fights in spurts. He's not a come forward fighter. That is why he gets tired too fast, too many unnecessary movements, uses his legs way too much. I don't think he has a stamina problem, he has an energy wasting issue. He should try to be more calm in the ring and actually come forward like you say he does, which he doesn't. If he can save energy, he would be a really tough fighter to beat, because he is a tough guy to beat as we speak, but if he stops fighting like he has ants in his pants, he can fight for the full 12 rounds.

I don't know what fights you saw of him that he was a come forward fighter.

Medved wrote that long ass post and not a single thing was right. Most money of his career? De la hoya? Trinidad??

The only thing that could be right is that it possibly wont be an exciting fight. This has to do with the style match up. There will be a lot of posturing and feinting going on. This will be a very technical, thinking chess match. Not a fight for the casuals expecting a war.

Despite Dawson being a tougher challenge, having the better credentials, I'd still rather B-Hop vs. Bute. Strong chances Hopkins vs. Dawson may not deliver, so more harm than good can be done.

Sad Chad said Diaconu was a slick fighter, Hopkins must be oil then! Hope POPkins takes Chad to the shed and KHTFO!

Well it certainly is the right fight...

Not one i am looking forward too though.. horrible clash of styles..

Would rather see Bute/Hopkins in terms of a fight which would bring excitement

Yep. Predominantly one-handed jabber. No one fear his left hand in that southpaw stance. Time to try box orthodox. When BHop calls you, he seen your **** and made a Cliff-Note version of your style.

Doesn't make sense to me except that Dawson lost and does look beatable now.

Either way, good luck Hopkins, it would be cool if you pulled it off again.
Because Dawson is boring to watch and can't attract attention. He has no crowd.
